Same, can't shake the feeling we'll concede early, equalize but concede late yet again. 1-2 with Welbeck scoring in injury time. Need a result, anything but a defeat, to build on.

Pretty big game against a side we seem to be shit against. Hopefully we get at least a point.

I hope we see Hall, Wolte and Wissa for more than 30 minutes. I hope Wolte isn't just put in the 8 slot though.

I'd go:

Either keeper, both shite, barely matters at this point

Burn Thiaw Botman

Tripper Tonali Bruno Joelinton Hall

Woltemade

Gordon if fit / Osula if not

3 5 1 1.

Not a tactico by any means, but any system that does not involve Murphy or Elanga has to be considered better by default at this point. I'd be tempted to try Osula there ahead of them but as much as he can actually cut in on his left, he's as brainless as Elanga. Wouldn't trust him to develop a relationship with the RB or in doing anything defensively.

Wolte might get the chance to use his creativity without getting bossed in midfield/bearing the pressure of scoring a goal after so long out of the front line.

We don't have a stable starting XI. Might as well give Nick a free role and pretend we don't have any right wingers.

Just sweep the leg of Welbeck within the first 5 minutes, doesn't matter if it's 10v11 afterwards, we can get something against them.

Will be an honour to watch the cart horse Lewis Dunk rampage through the area where our midfield once stood with no fucker getting anywhere near him before he plays in Minteh to score

Send in Big Joe fresh off his suspension.

Might try the old reverse bet that got us a cup final win with no Joelinton yellow card (you're welcome) and bet on Brighton to win and a Welbeck goal.

If we continue playing like this, we'll take a 1-0 lead and then lose 1-2 in the second half.

But I'm praying for a win.

You are this >---< close to being a Geordie. Keep watching, we'll get you there eventually. ❤️

A draw might not get the adrenaline pumping, but it would actually be a great result given the form of the two sides.
