Miggys First Goal
Nowt to do with football, but why hasn't SJP been used more often as a concert venue? Any reason in particular?

Lowndsy
Would imagine it is due to when MA was here he didn’t make it possible. As in wasn’t interested in holding events or making money from it etc. would imagine with the new owners they’ll look at making money in many ways. This being one way. Kid Icarus
Not sure it's the reason, but it's in a residential area as well.
et tu brute
It's got something to do with the size of the stage sets for the big groups, access or something like that
Anderson
Is it not mostly due to the poor acoustics on account of the lop-sidedness. Think when they've had them previously they've had to set up the stage at an angle in the Strawberry corner, which isn't ideal.
Stifler
Pitch. There is only a small gap where they can rip the pitch up before replanting they seeds etc. Even if they lay down flooring like they usually do for concerts, it can damage the pitch quite a bit. Plus the layout doesn’t lend itself to maxing out capacity with decent views. That said, I went to the San Siro for a concert and they had the stage along what would be our equivalent of the East Stand. Worked well I thought. Wilson
Can you only view the full seating plan and view from the seats when buying tickets, or is there somewhere else you can view this? I may be being blind.
Nun tumblers
These fucking Freeman of the city and some dozy bye law from days of yor. Allowing cows to wander around the cheeky twats. Leazes Park is the only answer. Then bulldoze St James and landscape the land anyway the council demand

Dokko
I wonder if 30k trying to secure 1k of tickets changed their plans for the ground at all. Whether it speeds things up, puts it's ahead of other priorities or maybe change the decision of moving. We'd fill OT next season, going forward with some success the numbers would be off the charts. Build it there as originally planned and use remains of current SJP site for green space in the city.

Miggys First Goal
Need to build the new ground on the Arena site. Screw whatever plans the council have already agreed to. Just plop a 80,000 seater stadium down there. Will look unreal coming across the Redheugh.
