Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
andycap replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
Howe should get it by a mile with a cup win and possible 2nd place. Slot has done well but he's got a good squad of players and city have self destructed. So the feat isn't as good in my opinion. -
It depends on the financial need to sell. Roman Chelsea did that model, but they also didn't need the cash upfront. We need a better CM regardless of what we do with Willock.
-
Expecting Intertoto cup 95 esque resistance from them tonight.

It all starts with a great goalkeeper. Without one, the defence are less confident "I better not fuck up because i don't trust our keeper" and it seeps throughout the team. A really good keeper is essential. I'm still reasonably happy with Pope but if we can get Trafford or someone equally good or better for 20-30 million I'll be happier. Pope would be an excellent 2nd choice.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

If even one of man United or spurs gets a result - is that pretty much is qualified for the CL? -
Not sure if you find out straight away who is home and who is away, I think it took 2 days for the fixtures to come out following the draw last time, yet again some of the opening games are on a thursday too.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
MagPar replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
I take very little notice of these awards (unless my team wins lol). He inherited a near perfect squad and only managed one trophy and one final. He'll still win though. -
Talksport and Sky are obsessed with selling our players to the other top 6, I know it's to be expected but it getting right on my nerves more than usual
-
Fwiw I'm from the North West also and anyone referring to "United" is instantly retorted to with "Which United?". I have never and will never refer to ManU as united, they are A United but not The United just because they're the media darlings.

I never claimed to be a genius. Having read what you've said, I feel rather silly and would like to retract my original comment. -
In fairness, probably cheaper and quicker to get hyem from Jesmond/Town at the end of the night, than if they'd gone out in Sunderland.

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)
MagPar replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
So our current badge isn't our original one? How many have we had? I've only been a Newcastle fan for 20 odd years. They do say that you learn something new every day. -
Your solution makes little sense in practical terms. If you send him out on loan we need a replacement, may as well sell him and buy a replacement for him.

Probably not, but I’ll be hoping they do! -
Does Fak fancy himself as the new TBG?

I'm not even thinking about Joan Garcia joining us until someone on here shares that Ángel García has been on the radio talking about it, or something similar.

I've never wanted Man U to win my entire life I'm not starting now. Celebrity chasing glory hunting media darlings, tossers I have a couple of cockney reds who I got to know going to away matches in the late 60's/early 70's they use the `I saw Bobby Charlton, George Best excuse` -

What’s wrong with Keel Square thought Sunderland was on the up ? Still rather hang out in a Newcastle suburb as opposed to that shit hole.
