  1. Past hour
  2. If we beat Everton then it 99.9% doesn't matter what the others do, unless Villa went suspiciously goal crazy, so I assumed the person I was quoting had doubts of this by wanting Forest to win this weekend to keep them competitive heading into the Chelsea match. A draw in the final 2 matches would guarantee top 6 and at least Europa, but if we lose Arsenal, which I suspect we will, and that Everton match kind if mirrors the Leicester match of 2 years ago where we can't score, and then give the opponent a glorious chance out if nowhere, then at that stage we'd probably have hoped Forest dropped points at the earliest opportunity, but we'll of course no one part of the sequence before we and Forest both next play.
  3. Not really surprising after such a long period out. 2025/26 season always seems the most realistic target for a proper return. Still though, not having him or Joelinton against Arsenal are massive losses. Sounds like no Willock and Tripper as well? Arse seem to be getting a lot of players back as well ffs.

Hopefully nothing major, but it’s only natural to be concerned about the fitness of one of our best players so there’s no need to make a meal out of it when people get worried/frustrated. Talk of selling him is just pointless though.
  5. What's baffling? He wouldn't have got injured if the flag had been raised straight away. Injuries can happen at any time in the 90 minutes but I'm obviously talking about within the context of that specific incident.

I sort of see your point but it’s hardly a one off with this lad is it? I hope it’s nothing because he’s such a talented player but injuries mount up.
  7. Ah c’mon man. He was a a good as out for the season and we knew that coming in. Provided this new thing isn’t really major, what Botman needs is a solid preseason and fresh start.
  8. Not really knee jerking when you expect one of our defenders to be available for more than a few weeks like.
  9. Such a triggering post for Edwards, he knows what he is doing with language like that. A bit of dick move.
  10. The knee jerking in here is unreal. We don’t even know what the issue is yet! It’s disappointing if he’s out of the next two games but let’s not write off his entire career just yet eh?
  11. Ughh, that’s such a good signing for that kind of money
  12. Everytime I see this thread bumped..
  13. I'd happily throw VAR into the bin but find this injury talk a bit baffling. If the flag get raised then play continues anyway. Just different play. The same amount of football gets played overall. If someone wants to argue an injury is more likely in these goal scoring situations then go ahead. I'm all for the linesman raising their flag early btw if they're confident it's offside. It's very silly that they don't.
  14. Thats only 5.7k a week. I’d have him!
  15. If City cover the wages I’d take him
  16. Exactly. Imagine breaking our wage structure... for Jack Grealish

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Anyone that thinks we’re interested in loaning an out of form 30 year old on massive wages hasn’t been paying attention.
  18. It's not about the norm; it only needs to happen once to demonstrate there's a risk. It was always going to happen eventually and it gets routinely referred to whenever anyone's discussing this modern flagging protocol. If the flag isn't delayed there's 0% chance a player gets injured in that passage of play. If the flag is delayed, there's X% chance a player gets injured. Any aspect of the game which increases the chance of totally avoidable injuries should be binned if possible. My bottom line is that it's just another thing in the cons list when it comes to VAR on offsides (as a unique concept).

Hope he gets fit again and doesn't turn into Woodgate 2.0
  20. Put that in colour I think it could be quite decent.
  21. Would have smashed Leicester in the replay.
