I agree with this. Wasn’t shocking by any stretch of the word - just fell short of his own high standards set by the previous season. That being said - if one of our gems has to be sold for that fabled “£100m” fee then it would probably make sense for it to be Gordon.

He obviously wasn't 'shocking' ffs Underwhelming compared to last season due in part to injury/suspension and the fact the year before was so good. We don't have to exaggerate everything to the nth degree on here

I say this as someone who has watched Leao for a few years. Gordon gets a better G/A than him in the same team. Is he the better player? Probably not. If you think Gordon blows hot and cold, wait till you watch Leao.

Not currently but I’m intrigued as to where his ceiling is. For me, he looked lively when called upon. Maybe a loan out next season for more minutes?

Another good point and one i hadn't considered. If we sign Pedro and Elanga i could see it happening. If we only sign Pedro, him and Osula are pretty fluid in terms of playing anywhere across the front line

Yeah, Palmeiras signed him from Barca in January. That move straight to Barca was too much too soon for him.

I think people are forgetting just how much of a pest he can be down that left wing. I know people don't like it when he goes down, but he is a nightmare for defenders in the penalty area and he's won a few penalties for us when he gets in there.

Pretty sure we bought him as an actual striker so he would be Isak's understudy would be my guess. I wonder if that would be affected if we are successful in our bid for Pedro?

Sorry like, but I've always expected players in before pre-season for years. If they haven't signed by then (especially after a protracted saga) then I'm dubious about their commitment. Got burned by MO and I find it hard to trust anymore
