  1. Targett's a real professional. Brings real balance to the team. Never flashy but he's so, so steady.
  2. Everytime he gets the ball I sit up straighter and edge to the front of my seat. He's a dangerman x 10. He's that wrapped gift under the tree that you couldn't get a peak of. It's like driving a windy road and then you come out of the last curve and there is a beautiful little city laid out right in front of you. I could keep waxing poetic, i love watching him play.
  3. "Culture" has become so over rated that it is now under rated but you can see that Eddie Howe has his own culture that he is implementing. Fraser talks about it. Trippier exemplifies it. And then you have the players who will be inspired by it. The one's who aren't fully on board will be weeded out. We are so lucky to have hung in there and are now able to watch it unfold. It's the best thing about sport: team is everything.
  4. decent squad player for the rest of the way then he can move on in the summer.
  5. I don't want Shelvey in the same midfield as Bruno. He's redundant. Bruno as DM, let Joe and Willock play in front of him and away we go.
  6. Bruno as a DM behind Joe and Willock for me. I'm not a Shelvey fan, and while he's been better, I still think Bruno makes him redundant. Joe's effort and the mercurial Willock trump anything Shelvey can bring.
  7. In a club that had no tactics he kept popping up in the right spot and scored last year. Under Howe he has a defined role and he will grow into it. He'll probably never have a stretch like he did with us last year but he will succeed and bag his fair share in the future. Love his motor.
  8. He is capable of really solid play both defensively and a is threat on set pieces. Man, he does some dopey things sometimes. I wonder if those kinds of plays are the hidden cost of having had Bruce as our coach. Less attention to detail. Less accountability. Less concentration. So the hope would be that with Howe, his staff and players like Trippier coming on board the players would start holding each other to a higher standard.
  9. It was touch and go early on but wow, what a joy to watch! There are a lot of goals in this team. No single player should feel like the load falls on him. Everton are in serious trouble. They looked slow, frustrated and definitely rattled.
  10. They smelled blood in the water today. ASM was pushing the club forward, Willock hit the post. We were deadly from set pieces. All this will take the pressure off of Wood. We'll score goals. Wood just has keep his chin up and keep working. They will come.
  11. There will come a time when both Bruce and Pardew will be removed from my memory, oh yes.
  12. I'm real disappointed Wilson won't be back until the end of the season and it's a clear sign he can't be relied on for the future. Gayle must be finished if Bruce wouldn't play him Put runners around Wood. If we can't hit on the counter we'll play Wood as the big man to knock down for the runners. If Howe plays the 4-3-3 I'd put Willock in for Shelvey and let him make his late runs.
  13. A lot of pressure on the big guy. Finding the back today will go a long way. 1 in 2, baby, 1 in 2.
  14. If it's negotiable, they'll get it done and quickly IMO. This is a great appointment and they won't dick around.
  15. I still like him. We have players that are aging out and then we have players that were Bruced. Hayden was Bruced.
  16. Good servant. Should have been peddled 18 months ago.
  17. I hope Lewis finds a place to play and he stays healthy.
  18. I like looking at the new analytics but I also believe in the eye test. In a two man pairing our CBs fail. I think we could all agree each will function better in a 3 man. Can't say for sure about Burn. He looks real good in some of the metrics but I haven't seen him enough.
  19. It's possible that Howe thought he can send Lewis off to get some games and be ready to fight for the position in the summer. What if Lewis said, "I want to stay and fight for the job", and Howe says, "You're on" and he deregisters Ritchie or Dummett. Dummett's always crocked, Ritchie's days as winger are long gone. Murphy can take Ritchie's spot as the all around wide guy - he won't be needed as an RB so he can start retraining to deputy both wings.
  20. Lewis was given a chance and he's gotten hurt. I appreciate him wanting to stay and earn a spot and do believe I'd give him one over Radgie but Lewis might have been better served going on loan and getting a nice run in of games. Clark? I'd offer to buy him out. Has totally gone to shit.
