Guest firetotheworks
He reminds me of some amazing Native American soldier with his hair like that. It looks like he should be playing while on a horse with a bow and arrow.

Our whole team needs to now pledge they won't cut their hair till we're back in Europe. Can imagine Motty doing commentary.. "And Colocinni plays it forward to... Colocinni, with a lovely flick on, it's... Colo... Colocinni scores!"

colinmk
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/4999/carroll.png I'm glad it's now confirmed that big AC is the best striker in the league and that Nolan is clearly better than Arshavin and on a par with Tevez. Was only a matter of time.

FrenchWilliam
Speaking of wankers writing about Andy Carroll http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1303682/MARTIN-SAMUEL-Andy-Carroll-chance-blew-Old-Trafford.html Think that's a relatively reasonable article really. Compared to most of the absolute toss she writes at least.
johnnypd
the samuel article isn't that bad, it's the idiotic headline that lets it down and im not sure samuel would've written that. plus he's come out and changed his mind which is fair enough. taylor's daft though, apparently barton's celebration "overshadowed" the game. clearly an attempt by her to instigate a big story around barton, fortunately no one else was stupid enough to pay much attention to it. OzzieMandias
the samuel article isn't that bad, it's the idiotic headline that lets it down and im not sure samuel would've written that Writers rarely do their own headlines. Sometimes they might suggest one, and the sub-editor might decide to use it, but it's the sub-editor who's responsible for the headline and intro line. NoU
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/aug/23/newcastleunited She's still having a go like. I quite often see Louise Taylor and the word "cunt", in the same sentence on this forum. But reading that article I have to say, that cunt does write a lot of shit. Guest koye
6 goals in 7 starts in the Premier League btw. Absolutely fantastic what he did on sunday. Very happy to see him get a hat-trick. In a strange way the relegation might have done us some good. Players like Carroll, Guthrie, Nolan, Smith, Coloccini m.m grew confidence last season, we won many games, scored lots of goales and they have taken the team spirit from last season into this PL campaign, and not least; the young players got the vital experience they probably needed before they can make it in the Prem. junkhead
Yeah, I'd take the opportunity to tap myself on the back too.. I've spent a lot of time and effort defending poor Andy C from the vultures on here, so here it is motherfuckers - I was right, you were wrong! ponsaelius
I never wrote Carroll off as such, but I never rated him that highly. Times earlier last season he really frustrated me. Just shows what a bit of faith and games can do for a player though, he's a bloody monster now and seems to get visably better every week.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Credit to him. He's improved himself, and made himself into a Premiership player, which I certainly didn't see occuring at this rapid a pace. I think we should sit and look on his performance this season instead of lavishin him with praise already, though. You never want a young player to get too high or too low.
