And there was no Barnes either,we played with Wright as a sweeper, Butcher and Walker as central defenders and Pearce and Paul Parker as wing backs. Plus Bryan Robson only played the first two games before coming home iirc. Steve McMahon certainly played against Ireland because their goal was his fault.
