Guest H09
I think he may have naively thought the letter would stay in Argentina or at least amongst a small amount at San Lorenzo rather than ending up in the English press. He might not even know we know
prefabtoon
Dont think he should be playing in the villa game now. FABRICIO COLOCCINI may face the wrath of Alan Pardew after being quoted claiming a move to Argie side San Lorenzo was “momentarily suspended”.Quote from the Sun lol. Shak
I don't want to speak badly of him because if there are serious personal issues going on behind the scenes that's more important than football obviously. But this rubbish with San Lorenzo is rubbing me the wrong way, I have to say. If it really was just about going home for personal reasons couldn't he just have retired? I can't imagine San Lorenzo were going to pay him a massive wage anyway, so why is playing for them such a major thing if this is all based on some sort of personal problem? I don't know the law, but if he retired could we really do anything other than hold his registration and prevent him from playing elsewhere? If he still wants to go in the summer then let him away, but only to someone who's willing to give us a good fee. If we just let him walk to San Lorenzo for nowt it'll annoy me tbh. Yorkie
If he's staying, as club-fucking-Captain he could do worse than to make some sort of statement himself, rather than leaving it all to a manager who's a perennial bullshitter. I don't think he's handled this whole thing very well at all; seems to be absolutely no connection between fans and Captain whatsoever. Irritating. AyeDubbleYoo
He's never been one for the fans really, that's OK IMO as long as he's a leader in the dressing room. This letter is mental, but I would be interested to see whether he actually literally wrote it or it's some scheme between his agent, Dad and whoever else. Anyway, main thing is he just performs for the remaining games.

themanupstairs
Looking forward to what Pardew says about this today. Hopefully he'll wheel Colo out to sit beside him and give an honest account to put this shit to bed.

Anyway, main thing is he just performs for the remaining games. Absolutely. That said, while I don't care for the details, a few words to affirm his commitment for the next few months wouldn't go amiss. For the club captain not to have spoken to the media for 6 months is a bit of a joke frankly. Even more so considering the support they've given in keeping his problems under wraps for the most part. Skirge
I can see Pards avoiding this as much as he can in he presser but I agree its about time our club Captain has something to say to our fans.
