Was almost comical how much better he was than anything else on the pitch. Great performance; probably the easiest i've seen him glide past players after Everton and Blackburn.

Santon isn't any better than Taylor at leftback. I assume he would be far superior to Simpson at rightback, but on the left his defesive frailties can be exposed and his attacking play is less effective as crossing seems not to be an option.

Oddly enough Raylor combined with Jonas better than Santon ever did.

Does lose the ball far too much but totally offset by the fact he does more with in than all our players combined bar Ba.

He doesn't lose it any more often than the other fuckers, it just gets noticed more because of the expectancy when he has the ball, and because Pardew's drawn attention to it.

Raylor and Santon as fullbacks and Jonas and HBA as wingers, Pardew wont do it but he should.

Electric today. Game changer. How on earth do we have this talent on the bench every week? So what if he loses it now and then, the things he creates far outweigh the times he might lose it.

Tired of saying the boy have to start each match, People on here baking Pardew to not start him with the reason it's a team game, fucking facepalm.

Pretty much. Mind you we are just mindless fanboys. Get the team playing around him. Not crowbarring good players that we do have into shite tactics.

His introduction changed the game for the better for us. He made a huge difference to our attacking play - we started passing the ball better, we kept possession well most of the time and that ultimately led to chances for us. Positive.

Sure, he did lose the ball a few times but everything he did in an attacking sense outweighed such a negative. He simply has to play and MUST START the remaining 11 games. Pardew must have seen the light now, surely?

Run of games = fitness improves = sharpness improves = better chance of being an influence on play.

How this lad has not yet been unleashed on this league is beyond me. Can understand it slightly if he's kept on the bench in games where we want to keep it tight. At home however, and against the less spectacular teams (home or away) he should be playing every single time.

Wonderful talent. Wish he'd scored the winner.
