Si
as unimpressed as I am with Pards this season, you just know the alternative would be someone like Glenn Hoddle or Tony Adams. Maybe Alex McLeish if we were lucky. Best option is to stick with him and hope he turns it round.
Guest Wally_McFool
Pardew has to take some of the blame for the slump as he has been putting "too many square pegs in round holes" in his team selections so far this season. But ultimately 99% of the fans knew and accepted the fact that a great chance to improve the squad and first team last summer was wasted because of an arrogant tight fisted owner who don't give a fuck where we finish as long as it's not in the relegation zone so he can continue raking in YOUR money into his back pocket. A close season of big talk but little action from Ashley's dopey sidekick and a piss weak squad of players equates to this"mid table mediocrity" slump being totally predictable. eliassenfredrik
Is Ashley popular on here thesedays? I can't keep up, i rarely post though tbf..Giz a clue? He's God compared to Pardew atm. I think.

SEMTEX
How is it like Robson at all?! Sacking a manager who has achieved success with us because he hasn't been able to reach the same levels of success in the following season. It's not exactly the most accurate of comparisons, but it's an acceptable point to make.
thedudeabides
It's like Robson all over again. Wat ? Finished 5th, shit start to next season, people twisting on wanting him out without a credible replacement in mind. We got Souness. Was it really that hard? Yorkie
Last season has earned him the opportunity to turn it around imo. Not saying he will, but sacking him now would be as laughable as the Di Matteo sacking. If it gets to February time and we're still in this position, then I'd consider it. I tend to agree. If we're saying this after another loss on Wednesday, it may just be sheer denial - but he has earned some time i think. He still deserves the money for transfers that he wasn't given in the summer. Yes, there are some fundamental issues that need addressing before turning to the transfer market - but he was never allowed to continue building his squad. He earned the right to do that last season and Ashley needs to give him money in January. However, if we lose the next two games. Eesh. Picking up 0 points from West Ham, Swansea, Southampton, Stoke and Wigan would be pretty much unforgiveable.
mikejaxer
I just don't see us playing well anytime soon. He's too spineless and tactically inept to turn this around. The thing is though, if we wait until February and it doesn't change it could be too late.

NG32
It's like Robson all over again. Wat ? Finished 5th, s*** start to next season, people twisting on wanting him out without a credible replacement in mind. We got Souness. Was it really that hard? tbf, some wanted Robson out in the summer or at the end of the previous season. This would have given the club time to seek a good replace, emt. Split board couldn't make the decison, ended up with souness after a panic.

This isn't a midtable slump though, its bad enough to warrant some worry about relegation. How is it not obvious that we _can_ play better with the players we still have? Having said that I've seen Everton survive worse.

JH
Whilst this isn't a 'PARDEW OUT!', let's get the bedsheet painted and descend upon St James' Park, one of two things needs to happen: - Pardew needs to change his gameplan completely - tactics, formation, mentality. - Pardew needs to go Now which is more likely to happen? BONTEMPI
Ill prepared for the season and doesn't look like he has a clue how to turn it round. His management skills ultimately depend on luck and individual brilliance. Ok most managers do, but they can also get a team to do the basic's right. Even with the great results last season, we never looked a real quality side, only in short spurts. Get rid! As I can't watch his brand of hoofball anymore. TherealnorthernTOON
With 3 losses in a row, looking at the team he should realize by now that action has to be made. We can't keep going on like this. I even think that the defensive part isn't even the matter, it's just that we are so much on the defensive leaving serious gaps all over the place because we got no offensive play at all. Just looks like players are given the ball and asked to use their imagination to get things going. When things are going against you like this you need atleast a pattern of play to make people do some runs into space that are familiar to them. He probably won't be sacked yet, but he better turn this around fast. Relegation isn't far off this form.
Mole_Toonfan
Can we stop using the squad and investment excuses please that has absolutely f*ck to do with this seasons performances. Even with all the injuries and lack of investment we should still be beating Villa, Sunderland, Reading, West Ham, Sunderland and Swansea.
