Mole_Toonfan
Tbf we need a decent manager. Well yes, staying up and getting a decent manager comes long before any ins or outs.
Gallowgate Toon
We need 2 more attacking options next year, a decent target man and a winger. I'd buy them both as plan B players to come off the bench as I think that front 3 has a lot of potential and a good a balance to it. It's a shame we've not been able to see them play together more often. Attacking midfielder as well for me i would have Cabaye and Sissoko in the pivot. Marveaux? Yes not a priority we are flush with attacking midfielders as Sissoko, Cabaye Marveaux and HBA can all play there. If Cisse and/or more likely HBA get injured we are struggling big time in those positions.
Kanji
Can see he becoming a really decent signing once he has had more time to settle. Next season use him left of a front three and will get us goals. Benny---Cisse----Gouff Me too. I do think we need another option for the front 3 though, someone who can compete with Cisse or play wide when needed. If we stay up - Would be nice to get someone like PEA who can play out wide or centre and that allows more flexibity for Gouffran as well. Essentially you have the ability to play Gouffran, Cisse and PEA through the middle - Hatem, PEA, Gouffran and Marv out wide.
Disco
Round pegs for round holes would be better. Sick of all these he can play a number of positions to a moderate standard so we can scrimp on buying specialist signings. Gouffran fitting description this perfectly, canny player but in an ideal world he'd be an impact sub.

If Cisse and/or more likely HBA get injured we are struggling big time in those positions. None of which are attacking midfielders except for Marveaux and we cannot rely on him. Sissoko is a box to box midfielder, Cabaye is a CM and Ben Arfa is a inside forward and all of them haven't proven they can provide consistent performances as a attacking midfielder. Really think we lack some guile and creativity and would really look at buying a attacking midfielder who actually is one and can be consistently relied upon. My hopes would see this.... Cabaye Sissoko New AM Ben Arfa Cisse New LWF But as mentioned the most important thing is we stay up and Pardew is replaced by someone suitable for the signings we make. AyeDubbleYoo
I would like to see Cabaye/Anita/Sissoko in the middle for a while, obviously seems like that would depend on a new manager as well.

Mole_Toonfan
I would like to see Cabaye/Anita/Sissoko in the middle for a while, obviously seems like that would depend on a new manager as well. In that case i would buy a defensive midfielder instead, can't be relying on Tiote or Anita tbh. I like Anita but its a big ask to go from behind Dan Gosling in pecking order to important first team player so yes everything depends on a new manager and what he wants. If he wants 3 in midfield like you suggest then i would look at other DMs as i don't think Tiote can be relied upon for an expansive style which is what we all want. AyeDubbleYoo
I think it's possible that Sissoko/Cabaye/Anita combined would have enough to do without a DM in most games. I wouldn't be against buying one though obviously. It is a big ask for Anita TBF, I just think he would help our ball retention so much.
Gallowgate Toon
I wouldn't really call Gouffran a square peg in a round hole, he's just as suited to a wide forward spot as Ba, a player who's spent the majority of his career as a wing forward. It's about how well they gel as a unit, there needs to be a good mix. You don't want 2 players the same, in my opinion, they should blend and complement each other. A HBA/Gouffran/Cisse triumvirate has a good mixture of speed, technique, intelligence, movement and finishing. We should have other options to bring on that can provide some power etc.

Ronaldo
Round pegs for round holes would be better. Sick of all these he can play a number of positions to a moderate standard so we can scrimp on buying specialist signings. Gouffran fitting description this perfectly, canny player but in an ideal world he'd be an impact sub. I think Gouffran's a good option in that he can play 2 ways: He can play on the shoulder when we need to take risks or he can be more restrained and protect the full-back behind him with his high work rate. Unfortunately it would appear he doesn't have a lot of the qualities required to play wide in an attacking sense.
Kanji
Anyone notice his shots get blocked a ton? He'd do well to feign a few more times or shoot earlier, imo. He's a great counter attacking option and was perfect in that vs Chelsea but we haven't bombed forward on the counter in ages it feels like.
Dave
His composure for that goal saved our Premier League status, because I can't remember us creating anything decent for the rest of the match. Priceless.
