I don't mind loaning senior players but there's something about loaning youngsters from 'bigger' clubs basically just to warm them up for them, that I hate.

Yup, same. It should be used as a last resort and there's no way you should 'plan' to use it.

You end up having to replace them, either with another loan or buying anyways. It's good if it's someone like Remy but you ideally want a good shot at signing them at the end of it if they've performed well.

 

Sunderland have loaned a fair few players the last few years and it's caused a lack of continuity for them.

Pretty obvious he won't be here next season. Hope Carr can pull another inexpensive rabbit out of the hat.

We'll sign players in the summer, because we simply have to, same as when we had to in January 2013 when we brought in Debuchy, Yanga-Mbiwa, Sissoko, Gouffran and Haidara.

 

We had around 21 points from 22 games back then, though. There was no choice but to spend serious money.

 

EDIT: And let our biggest goal threat leave. :lol:
