Mourinho, who's under contract at Benfica, has scrambled to state that the video of him with the shirt is an AI creation, but he hasn't denied the signing. Real Madrid are voting for president this weekend, and while Pérez is still heavily favored to win, it's the first contested election since he changed the club's bylaws making the requirements to run for president so absurd, that essentially only him and a handful of people qualify. He has reached the Trump stage of not really being all that there in the head while surrounded by a bunch of sycophantic yes men, so I hope he wins.
