Can’t figure out what’s funnier, the manager having a special unique system that ensures you get beat all the time, or spending millions of billions on strikers when you’ve got two goalies who are absolutely dogshit

Must admit I thought the irony was delicious. Losing 1-0 after having spent about £200,000,00 on 3 new attackers and £0 on a new GK - you reap what you sow

They did look better in the final third but after throwing (another) £200m at the issue it's the fucking least I'd expect tbh. If they finish 7th they've had a mint season imo.

Watkins looks like he’s starting to fall off for me. Personally would avoid him.

Sesko and Gyokores will flop hard, at least I hope they will.

It amazes me how all these "YouTube Football Content Creators" have been waffling all summer about how great Sesko and Gyokores are, but how many of them actually watch Bundesliga or Liga Portugal? The likes of Goldbridge etc know fuck all about football outside of their Sky 6 Premier League bubble.

They are in for a serious disappointment with Gyokores (who is 27 and has already flopped in the Prem btw)  and Sesko

That’s generous. I don’t think Goldbridge knows fuck all about football within the sky 6 let alone football in general. His “analysis” only works on clueless “global” supporters who just want to win.

Didn't Gyokores not play for Brighton under 23s? I remember him banging them in for Coventry but in a lower league. I personally don't see him or Sesko reaching the highs expected from them.

Keep throwing 200million plus every transfer window and they’ll eventually come good. Ain’t PSR a great thing

If we'd signed Hojlund we'd be stuck playing him for 5 years due to PSR. Meanwhile these lot can spunk £250m every summer on fancy new toys. Eventually it'll come good.

He played for Brighton in the Prem, but flopped hard. The expectation on him at Arsenal is way over the top.

My mate, who is a musician, knows nowt about football. He asked me to explain what PSR was all about. I told him all about PSR and he said "that doesn't seem fair or right does it"? "You have the richest owners in the world". "Why have the league committee allowed this".

Corruption! They will be found out!

No he didn't.

You're right. He did make most of his appearances for the Brighton reserve team. He did however make league and FA cup appearances for the senior team whilst they were a Premier League outfit. Point is, he was shite for them

Not doubting you opinion that he flopped for them, just don't remember ever seeing him play in the premier league and a quick Google suggest he didn't. So bit harsh to say he already flopped in the prem before if this was his first game today.

But yeah not a great debut today but I'm sure he'll properly score the odd goal but don't think he will be an Isak/Haaland level player for them.

He’s clearly a good lad, far too good to be among the snakes at Man U, King Rat, the Glazers and the board. Whether he’s a good manager or not is still up for a debate but he’s got a lot of integrity

I thought they looked a lot fitter than Arsenal and won most of the midfield battles. Casemiro in particular seems to have shed a bit of timber.

Arsenal looked to me like a team that had already peaked and were lacking belief.

Onana to join Hojlund, Garnacho, Antony and Sancho in the bomb squad.

Man Utd going to be haemorrhaging money to placate Amorim. UCL or bust* as a club next summer.

*Have to sell Mainoo + 1 more or sell club to a state

Unlike Chelsea’s bomb squad where people are put in it for no reason other than Chelsea’s rampant greed at refreshing their squad with 8 new players every window, Man U’s bomb squad is part dickheads, part players that I think Amorim will have treated respectfully but doesn’t think they have a future at the club and rightfully so

There just shouldn’t be a bomb squad at all, unless it’s someone that’s actively broken club rules. It just won’t create a positive atmosphere at all within the club, which can be glossed over if things go well, but when things don’t, it can and will turn sour.

They’re players that will have close friendship with players elsewhere in the team, and whilst they will remain pros in the main team, when things start turning they will be the first to call out things as the string is short.

It’s not even a thing that’s just exclusively to Amorim / Chelsea under Maresca, seen it plenty before and it turn sour, and it’s usually a common theme of the managers being weirdos.

Thank you for the love of God.

This board unanimously slated Hojlund last summer and said we'd never compete with him leading the line. Now we make moves to replace him and cash in on him and it's being ridiculed.

I love Hojlund and he has the right attitude and could be a great centre forward, but he needs to go elsewhere for now since we've signed Sesko.
