Richard f***ing Dinnis. There's a difference between consulting someone and letting them have a say. I don't think this should happen as well, other players might take exception to it for example. Not saying I agree with it, but it's pretty normal practice for a club to keep the club captain in the loop of the whole situation. We're waiting on one of two things, the window to shut to appoint carver or waiting till after Soton when there's a big break to announce him and those angry will have faded by the time football comes back round again. Speaking to colo only enforces this, he's asking whether the players would have any objections to appoint carver, to which they'll say no as most of them couldn't give a fuck under this amateur regime. You might ask the Head Waiter or whoever what he thought of the stand-in manager, if he felt the restaurant could manage as it is for another few weeks while they looked for someone else or if he had what it takes to run the place himself.
