Rafael Benitez

So reading between the lines he's simply fucked off (as some of us expected he would be), and he's not wasted any time in telling everyone. Any more of this shit and he'll not be here for long.

That'll go down well.

I think it's about time Cashley and Charnley deal with a real manager, who isn't furiously licking their anal hair for being handed a job in management. The cunts need to squirm, and if they fuck Rafa off, Newcastle should protest against the fat fuck for months on end.

A variant of this part is in every single report, so presumably it's come from the horse's mouth:

He was told he had £30million to spend in the close-season and did not have to sell any players. As it was, he made the club a profit of £30m - including the £13m sale of Townsend to Palace - and believed he would have that money to reinvest in January.

But not a single player arrived last month, despite Benitez handing a list of targets to managing director Lee Charnley as far back as November.

"Benitez is not sure why reports of big-money bids for McCarthy and Angers’ Nicolas Pepe appeared in the media despite no offers being made."

Deja f***ing Vu.

Rafa outing our board without giving a single fuck :smug:

Scary how similar the situation is - am sure Ashley just likes to torture us.

Hopefully Rafa just forcing Ashley's hand.

So f***ing silly this situation though. Totally avoidable.

This is what annoys me the most. Despite a bit of a blip over December, we're still in decent shape - Ashley's intervention just seems so unnecessary when we're in a relatively decent place.

Love that. The board aren't used to this happening.

Such a big story the Mirror went with a Pixar character alongside it, rather than an actual photograph of Rafa.

Article states: Chief scout Graham Carr still wields influence, and sat next to owner Mike Ashley at the FA Cup third round tie at Birmingham in early January. Benitez is fretting over whether Carr has acted as a brake on his transfer wish list.

Hasn't Benitez said that he never speaks to Ashley directly? Find that particularly worrying, considering who has the twat's ear. Also, I have it on good authority that Charnley is a shriveling arsehole who'll say whatever the person wants to hear that he's speaking to. So if Mike's making noises about not being happy we're not 'walking the league', one of his only sources to combat that and present a rationale is a total yes man twat who's heavily responsible for where the club sees itself today.

We've been saying all season, up until two or three weeks ago, that it felt like the club is changing for the better. I have a modicum of hope that this is actually the case, and Ashley will relent given Rafa's gravitas.

Ashley hasn't been questioned since Keegan, and he knows how that went for him. Probably the final test we'll ever see now. We'll know once and for all if things can ever be different under his custody.

Why would Carr want to stop players coming in?
