Other clubs' transfers

Brighton signing AIK midfielder Yasin Ayari for about £4m. Good, young attacking/central midfielder. Definitely don't think he's ready for where Brighton are in the league at the moment though, assume he'll go on loan straight away.

Easy way to stop this…

Chang the FFP rules to be operating cash less 1/3 of transfer fees (so spread over 3 years) plus 1/3 of transfer income.

takes away all the bullshit on spreading over contracts and financial judgments.

transparent, factual and fair

Nothing fair about FFP.

the only way it can be “fair” is if you take the biggest spender and create an amount for the entire league based on them.

the issue is, the big 6 particularly city and Chelsea had a 10 year free pass which allowed them to grow the club as a whole all clubs should get this same benefit.

They can stockpile players as much as they like, but if there is no cohesive approach to running the club, it won’t matter. They could just as easily turn into Everton. Absolutely horrendous for team spirit to have that many extremely talented players scratching their arses getting no game time and being trapped in ridiculous contracts no one else can afford. Added to that a manager who is out of his depth and soon to be replaced by another guy who has a different approach. Recipe for dressing room fallout.

I’m still convinced Boehly is trying to break football as it currently is by inflating the market so much that it all collapses and he can bring in the ESL or whatever fuckery else he wants so that he makes yet more money for himself and a handful of others.

Think he’s just a mug that has no clue about football tbh

Are Chelsea gonna be fucked (financially) if they don't get top 4?

Here's hoping.

No, it seems what they are doing is actually really smart as long as they can afford it.

in terms of FFP it will actually allow them to book big transfer profits due to amortisation.

Boehly is actually giving a blueprint to PSG here.

His falling out with Brighton might have influenced things we are very keen on the no dickheads policy

Other than him walking out on the club, he apparently had a bust-up with Lallana, who saw fit to comment on his attitude. I'm glad we steered well clear - our team harmony is one of the key ingredients to our current success.

I wonder if there was ever the thought to bring in a rule half way through the season specifically to stop Chelsea going on the type of spree they are on ?

Are there any instances of the Premier league doing that, you know like, part way through a season to stop one particular club ?
