GeordieDazzler
Are we reaching a tipping point with transfer valuation inflation? The bubble has to pop at some point. At this rate we’ll see the first half billion pound player in the next ten years.

Guest
Will almost certainly become the 3rd player to score in the top flight of the 'big 5' leagues and definitely the youngest.
toon25
Good signing for the price. Will do very well there.

LionOfGosforth
Kante to Saudi, not sure if this was known to be in the works or not, missed it if so https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65836373
Geordie Boyo
120M for rice, but just the 100M if it includes a player too… really need to cap evaluations and base them on games played, injuries, level of competition played in, team position, etc with nothing passed 100M valuation. Obviously same for salaries if they do care about equality in the game.

KDT
Chelsea are getting £8m for Ziyech & £16m for Coulibaly, Kante left on a free. So not some astronomical transfer fees that PIF were just dishing out then.
TaylorJ_01
I would've taken Ziyech for £8m, that seems remarkably low. Presumably he was getting vastly overpaid and wouldn't budge on wages.

brummie
The Saudi - Chelsea thing is dodgy as fuck. I genuinely think this sort of thing plus concepts like multi club ownership will conspire to fucking ruin football.
Chicken Dancer
Cracking signing for Man City that. Can't see anybody stopping them winning the league until Pep leaves.

I genuinely think this sort of thing plus concepts like multi club ownership will conspire to fucking ruin football. It's not really. Saudi are trying to give their league more legitimacy & Chelsea have a lot of 'known' footballers they need to get rid of, they're not paying Chelsea extortionate transfer fees they're just offering the players mental wages as it's the only way they'll join. They paid £45m or so for Neves and they're paying Chelsea less than that for Ziyech, Mendy, Coulibaly & Kante is on a free.
Froggy
Hudson-Odoi to Saudi now picking up speed. That'll be Kouliably, Ziyech, Kante, Mendy and Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea alone.
kocunar
Ah yes, Hudson Odoi, another aging Muslim big name star.

Doctor Zaius
I can just about accept the argument they're targeting high profile muslim players with a big followings with the signings so far but if Hudson-Odoi goes, its blatantly obvious something has gone on behind the scenes. SteV
Man Utd giving Rashford a new contract on £375k p/w. Shows the kind of financial advantages they have over the likes of us, not that it’ll ever get spoken about though.

They have no advantages, glazers are as bad as Ashley and they don’t spend money. /s
