West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season, according to reports.  (Mail Sports)

No doubt it's likely a pretty poor deal, hence our decision to walk away. However that could ensure West Ham finish ahead of us this season, although they probably would have done anyways unless our form dramatically turns.

yep as per reports WHU paying his full salary and will have an option to buy but not mandatory. probably managed to cut down the previous loan fee of 7m as well quite a lot.

City wanted him shipped out so kind of makes sense for both clubs, WHU wanted him more than we did probably. despite we have much bigger midfield issues imo (Tonali, Joelinton)

have to say to Ward Prowse turned out to be a class signing for the Hammers. lots of goals and assists already.

Assume the money involved for Philips was silly.

He was on £130k at Man City, so if he wanted anything close to that then it would be really stupid of West Ham but they’re not the brightest brains in the business so who knows

You can afford to do that when the government massively subsidise your rent

Is he no going to be competing with Alvarez too, who by all accounts has done really well for them ??‍♂️

Currently injured I think, and anyway, Moyes loves two defensive midfielders, so will play both together in a 4231, Soucek will rotate with them I guess.

If man utd allow ten hag to shop at ajax again they deserve all they get. ? That's his only form of scouting it seems. Fancy buying haggrids brother ?

It looks like INEOS are hiring elite upper management, so I would imagine the transfer structure will be getting a complete overhaul soon.

To have already secured Berrada and to be chasing Ashworth and Mitchell before their investment is even confirmed is really positive.

If FM was true then we should be all over it. No idea how well he has done in real life though

His mother trying to blackmail the national team coach at the World Cup has probably put quite a few folk off.
