Miguel Almirón - To Travel to Atlanta United Prior to $12M Move (Romano)

I think I put him in the same category as Jonas Gutierrez

Wasn't as good as I hoped but gave absolutely everything every time they played and scored some iconic goals.

Wish him well

I hope our fans reflect like they did with Jonas as they do with Miggy.

Jonas was a hate figure up until his cancer diagnosis, then court case against the club. He’s now waved about as if he was a long serving club legend all along.

Good shout - a Jonas is about right. Not the best, certainly not the worst and always gave his all.
Tbh - I would have liked to have seen him under Rafa in that central or LW role for one more season at least - he had an explosiveness that first season. But got injured and then Rafa left.

Good comparison. Worked hard for the club in every single game had some great moments. Shite overall [emoji38]

I think shite ‘overall’ is a bit harsh, though I would agree with that for the last 12-18 months. We’ve definitely had more frustrating players over the years.

He’s probably evaded quite a lot of criticism over the years because of that work rate and smile, but I wish him all the best at his new club and I hope to see him in the stands in the future :aww:

I'm happy he's found his move. Shame it wasn't this time last year, I think we'd have been able to keep a psr pawn if so.

Let's hope it opens a door for an in.

This basically. I feel we had to sell Minteh and Anderson because we couldn't move Miggy, but it's water under the bridge now. I am more than happy enough if we can get £8-10m for him, better late than never.

If nothing else we can appreciate someone who always gave everything for the shirt and ran his heart out.

*Bruno, imo. As depressing as that is.

Nobody is scoring a better volley, will always be remembered for this banger.

The most almiron thing ever. Perfect for a right footed volley and he's managed to get his left on it

Rated him more than most, I don’t think he’ll go down as a legend or anything but he always worked hard and I feel he was unlucky with the management changes after he signed.

Should’ve really gone earlier to a league where he could really impact the game.

I'll shed a tear for Miggy when he leaves, though realistically it's a great deal for him, leaving a club he's loved at to return to another club he's loved at, but who wouldn't love him ?

That infectious smile, the humble attitude, his dedication and attitude, and the icing in the cake - that wonderful spell when he was having his own goal of the season competition.

We'll look back on him the same way we look back on the likes of Wayne Routledge. Good for the time they were signed, but we quickly outgrew them.
