I think I'm in the minority.  But I actually thought until the last 5 minutes of the first half, goal aside, he was really sloppy and wasteful.  Something then clicked and he went into overdrive.  Started ragdolling players, winning the ball back, driving forward, give and goes.  Standard stuff from him, really.

Second half, he was his usual self and back to being a T-1000.

His second goal was underrated really really good

Defenders around him, on his weak foot and probably knackered after his first 90 mins for ages

He was breathing VERY fucking heavily. Thought he was gonna just have a snooze on the pitch at the end of the game.

Joelinton and Bruno should always be paired up, and Willock as the outlet, I get Longstaff is a grafter, but Joelinton in the middle makes us so much stronger.

It seems like he can play every midfield position, but CM and interchange with Bruno dropping deeper to compliment each other, just works.

Yeah, in the previous games when ASM was injured, Joelinton played as the left winger and Willock played in midfield, as was the case in the 1st half today. But in the second half they switched, J7 was in midfield and Willock was the winger. That turned out much better.

I thought him moving to CM was what changed the game, was so good and feel like his best attributes get wasted at LW.

This. He was an absolute beast in CM. Him and Bruno bossed their midfield. Joelinton in particular was everywhere.

Normally I want him in midfield but then again vs West Ham while good going forward (obviously) I thought he was bad and all over the place in his midfielder role. Good to see him back to playing great and actually helping Bruno today.

Just seen his goal. That footwork and ball control, where the fuck's he plucked that from? Hes come back even better yet again. Does he have some cheat code where he only needs the same xp for each level gain?

Great work from the big man, effectively scoring one goal (Harry Kane would claim it) and hitting the pass for the assist for the other. He's stepped up when we really need our players to do so.

If anyone says anything about the first and "luck", Joelinton did a lot more to make it happen than Rashford did for the Botman OG that sealed the Carabao Cup final.

His composure for a big lad honestly shocks me everytime.

First half he just didn't seem effective, but second half when he was brought into the middle to control that middle ground with Bruno was just immense.

He's an absolute unit basically.
