Jamal Lewis (on loan at Watford)

Assuming he isn't the type who's content in collecting a Premier League wage whilst never playing football, it must be horrendous for the lad. Only ten or so matches between ages 22/23 and 24/25 is surely brutal for anyone's development (particularly if you're shite ).

Turned down a loan move to Birmingham or summit, didn't he?

I think there is a solid player in there it's just the club have never been in the right place for him to develop.

First we were turbo sh#te and toxic under Bruce and Ashley.

Then we needed seasoned pros to get us out of the mess the above had got us into.

Now, while he still has potential, we're too good for him or can't afford him the playing time to get him up to the level needed even for back up.

I hope he gets a good move and can restart his career, he's always seemed like good professional.

It's a loan move, hardly a terrible deal for a relatively young left back who can motor a bit. At that level it's a decent move for both parties. He's got good core abilities, a good  coach might well be able to get a tune out of him.

Genuinely thought he only needed decent coaching from a competent manager and set of staff and he'd turn into a decent option. In Howe's first few games in charge he was actually decent and I thought he was coming into his own a bit, but got injured at Anfield and hasn't been seen since besides the odd friendly and cup appearance. He's been ridiculously poor in those appearances since and he'll turn 26 in January. Need to farm him out on loan if no one will take him on a permanent.
