Today he was at his absolute best, even before the goal. The way he shifts in in pace, being patient and bursting past is class.

Such a strange player, when he's not on form it honestly looks like his shoes are filled with lead. Then you see him on a day like this, gliding over the pitch.

Fantastic again today. His intelligence on the ball and physicality have both gone up a level in recent weeks it's really allowing him to impact games in a much more consistent way. Deserved starter right now and feel there is much more to come, too.

Class. Chuffed for him.

I remember back to people being gutted we didn't get Lingard on the last day of January window, and talked about it being a great opportunity for him to rediscover his form. His ceiling was always higher than Lingard's he just needed a real manager.

Said for months he’s one of our best players and he should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

That's why it's so gratifying having an intelligent manager, he sees the stuff your average fan will miss.

You can see he’s exceptionally confident at the moment. That goal last week has made a big difference to him. I’ve been backing him all along as I love his game but he was clearly not playing near his top level earlier in the season even though he was showing lots of quality. Today though, every time he was on the ball in their half he was looking to attack them, either with a run at pace, beating that man by dropping a shoulder, playing a killer pass (like the lofted one that should have led to a goal) or his goal. He was our best player today and our player who looked most likely to get us that goal, either by an assist or as it happened, a goal. I’m really excited about what to this lad is capable of for the rest of the season with his confidence up
