I doubt if he has ever said a single thing that is "true" in his entire life.

To some people LYING becomes an addiction, as in his case. He just cannot help it, poor little sod!

Clubs sold

Don't know why but hearing all of this England is galvanising the nation with their performance. Government personnel talking about how great it is and exactly what everyone needs.

All the while the exact opposite is happening with NUFC and nobody gives a flying fuck.

This takeover honestly does consume a lot of my thinking, I can't comprehend this not happening because the future for NUFC is afaic dead otherwise.

It may be true of other clubs, but talking just about nufc for a moment. This stuff really has widespread effects on the region not just through investment, but the general mentality and attitude of people. Even people who aren't fans per se can feel when the vibes are good and things ride on a crest of optimism.

How utterly powerless we are right now. People like Masters deciding what is sound and legit for our club, as we sit here a festering pile of shit and a laughing stock from playing staff down to academy, dilapidated stadium down to lacklustre training facilities.

I'm sick of it tbh.

Bang on.

Hope Denmark win on pens tonight.

this may have been asked but what are the possible ramifications if Ashley just says fuck it and sells the club officially to them?

Would the premier league then go through the rigmarole of trying to expel us from the league etc?

or dock points?

Probably make a song and dance about punishments, but as soon as Saudi cheque clears silence will prevail

The main issue is that any buyer would absolutely not buy the club in that scenario. It would be a huge gamble. PL would probably do fuck all tbh but would never ever happen.

It does seem strange considering she has previously said she can't say anything due to an NDA. Does she simply not give a shit anymore (which is a risk as she could be sued) or has she been given the all clear from lawyers to speak about it, in which case surely that would only be once an agreement has been reached?

It's nothing case specific though, is it?

I actually can't bring myself to watch any of these Staveley interviews because hearing such positive words from her about what could happen to the team and area would just break me if the deal fell through. Honestly not sure I could cope.

Talking about all of the great stuff that will happen doesn't seem a very bright idea if you think its going to fail. I'm encouraged by this.

It is going to help build outrage if arbitration is lost

This takeover would have gone through by now, had PIF been taking over Man United or Liverpool. Goes without saying

PL is a cartel ran by the big 6 and TV companies

The government did block Sky from buying Man United a good few years back.

I guess there is the chance of that. Pretty cruel tbh. And do the fans need any more stirring anyway?

The monopolies and mergers commission blocked it on the basis that it would be anti-competitive. Our situation is sort of the opposite of that, our case is that the deal has been blocked, at least in part, due to potentially an anti-competitive influence from the big 6. They might not have minded as much if it had been one of their club being taken over.

Yeah, it was more the idea that it would be waved through without issue if it was one of them and that TV companies make the decisions. Clearly not true there.
