Looking forward to hearing his take on todays decisions. He must be seething.

He's not one to let the seeth show though is he? I reckon Tindall would be a better one if we wanted to see some officials getting flak.

He isn’t, but looking forward to hearing his take on it all.

I always look forward to hearing wor Eddie's take, even if it's on growing daffodils.

Clearly shown how up to it he is for me. One worry or concern about him as a manager is how he'd fare tactically against top sides and managers, especially as we gradually improve.

Also, on the questions he gets asked about KSA all the time, can't say I'm a fan of constantly making him answer those questions. Does Guardiola always get asked similar shit about the UAE? I understand they need to be asked btw.

Wow. Eddie said to NUFC tv that willock and shelvey were determined to be out last night. So they had to change system and tactics via video presentation to the lads literally in the last 24 hours.

I started out a bit underwhelmed by this appointment.

Now I think he needs a statue.

Really so chuffed with what he has done so far. Great performance and should have been at least a point today - I'm excited to see what this guy can do next

He's clearly been doing his homework and learned a lot in his hiatus and I'm impressed, I think if we'd have got Howe straight out of his last job it would't have been as impressive. I think he has the capability to be the real deal, to get a performance like that out of, what looked like on paper, a no hope situation was extremely impressive.

I don’t think he does, but I also don’t pay attention to any Pep press conferences.

Imo football managers are there to talk about football and the match. They are not politicians. They are within their rights to only speak about football when they are doing that job. Sure the press can ask any question they want to. If the managers want to speak about it, have something to say about it - speak. But to expect someone to respond to you on something that isn’t their remit rubs me the wrong way.

But unlike what appears to be some on here, I don’t wake up wondering what Eddie Howe, Thomas Tuchel or Pep think about the politics in their ownerships’ countries. I care more about what’s actually happening and rather hear experts or people who’ve lived that reality to speak on those matters.

id rather hear those managers talk for hours on their football philosophy or what they saw in a match and what changes they made    and why.

absolutely fascinated by what he’s learned since he’s been out and the type of tactical setup on both ends of the pitch is just incredible. He had to change system last night! That’s less than 24 hours to implement a new tactical gameplan.

"It’s not uncomfortable to be asked, I understand you need to ask. But it’s my right to answer how I feel is right for myself and for NUFC. At the moment it's to give you as much as I can without going into an area that's not best for me to go into. If I do, the team may suffer."

I was a footballer with a slight difference. I got on the team bus aged 19 with a copy of The Times under my arm. I got strange looks from my teammates. But I came from a family where things were pushed towards me. I was interested in world politics at that stage. But having time on my hands as a football manager is difficult, so it's gone out my life slightly. I will have to dedicate more time to it, though. Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm job obsessed - It's an understatement actually. In the modern world part of my job is to know what's going on around the world and I'm reading up on that."

I respect Gary Neville & Jamie Carragher’s opinion and I get on well with them. I’ve no issue with that they said. But ultimately it's my right to say what I need to say. Before I took the job I looked at it as the club, the players, the support base. You then meet the people behind the scenes - Amanda, Mehrdad, Yasir - brilliant people who I've got a good relationship with. A lot of trust has been built between us."

The club of course is owned by people who the Premier League allowed to own a football club. So from my side that's as far as it went and I've reviewed my decision based on the people I've met. I'm very proud to represent this football club, I understand questions have to be asked, I have no problem with that. But my specialist subject is football. As soon as I deviate from that into an area I don’t feel qualified to have an opinion I get into dangerous ground. I'm best sticking to a preparing a team for Everton."
