Obafemi levels In his highlight video the way he flings some defenders around and how they bounce off him is almost comical. Seems to have some skill, technique and mobility too. Looks a talent, and probably who Rafa wants if the club aren't willing to sign up Rondon in the summer. At that quoted price it appears we'll have a ton of work to do convincing his club to sell. Be interesting to see if they are willing to perhaps pay around £25 - £30 million (Which is where I imagine it might end up) for him rather than the £16 million for Rondon. Stifler Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 I don’t see why we can’t get Rondon as well. I mean no doubt WBA will want Gayle, so you can assume £10m would be a fair price for him. Then if you are getting Rondon and this lad, you can easily tell Joselu to piss off and no doubt there will be some Turkish, UAE, or Chinese club stupid enough to pay £4m-£6m for him. So we could end up with Rondon replacing Joselu for nothing. Obviously it means you are unlikely to play them both at the same time but having Rondon will take a bit of pressure off the new guy and allow him some time to settle in and develop. We’ll end up with another loan as our main striker next season and Joselu will still be on the bench. I’d imagine Rondon would want to stay but we’ll haggle our way out of it.
