Kieran Trippier (now playing for Wolves)

Recommended Posts

He’s always been more about what he brings on the ball and in an attacking sense. Even Spurs supporting mates used to say his defending wasn’t the best. Nor was he the quickest.

He’s still aggressive as fuck and it works at times. But he’s made a habit of over-committing to challenges, mostly headers and getting nowhere near them. Usually meaning there is then acres in behind.

He’ll still have a part to play and I thought he was mostly good in the final third. Wissa and Woltemade didn’t help him much in that regard. We didn’t attack the box well first half.

There was a ball put in behind him on the Milburn side near the dugouts where his body couldn’t even allow him to attempt to run back.

He’s been fantastic for us but that was an absolute fuck me moment.

He certainly wasn't cooked or finished prior to the injury. Didn't see it today but if he's had a bad game then it's pretty much an anomaly this season.

Don't think he was that bad overall but that second goal was painful viewing. Was absolutely busting a gut to get back to be fair but you can't really push on like he does when you have absolutely zero recovery pace.

Probably the first time anyone has ever made Brooks look fast.

Love the bloke. Still a leader and good on the ball. But if we play him, we have to accept that there will be moments like the second goal, where he was like a Vauxhall Corsa towing a six berth caravan.

I'd love to hear his thoughts on Miley standing in in his position

“The world is his oyster,” he wrote.

“He’s arguably been our Man of the Match in the last four or five games – so Tino Livramento and I have a fight on our hands!”

Think that was in last week's programme.

Anyone heard any new gossip about this lad? Things seem very quiet.

Yep - heard something before and I think you may have heard the same - it wouldn’t surprise from what I’ve heard recently aswell

Have to feel for him a little bit.

Coming to the end of his career which he’s worked his whole life for, marriage has broken down (somewhat publicly).

Can’t be an easy time for him.
