Dortmund are also "looking at" Karim Adeyemi and Timo Werner to be Haaland's replacement. I think if Adeyemi goes to them (and it's looking likely), then we'd be in with a shout for Ekitike.

Edit: Just seen that Adeyemi has already signed for Dortmund. A really astute buy and surely they have their "young promising replacement for Haaland" sorted.

Adeyemi’s signed a five year deal

Adeyemi is completely different type of player than Håland, so BVB is still looking for at least one more addition to their attack.

Etikite doesn’t play like Haaland either, to be fair- he seems to be much more like Adeyemi.

Don’t know if the journo is reliable or not.

Very interesting. Had a heck of a first season in the Bundesliga last season, before being injured for the beginning of this one but then coming back strong. Not just a big lump at all, surprisingly agile, mobile and technically gifted albeit still good in the air.

Going into the last year of his contract from this summer too, and Howe did say we would be looking for players in that situation, as well as decent release clauses and quality free agents. Funnily enough we were linked with this guy a fair bit last summer but the story was MA wasn't willing to put up any money, so I believe Nickson thinks highly of him.
