Thiago
The good will generated during that nine game run feels like it just evaporated in 90 minutes. I think I can ascribe some of tonight to playing three games in a week and being exhausted. We certainly looked a step slower in some phases of the game. That said, when they go down to 10 men, we just didn't exert any control on things and just allowed ourselves to be a patsy in proceedings. It was painfully obvious our solution to a low block is to give it to Saint-Maximin. This is an issue that Howe will need to fix because we're going to face more teams like that as our ambitions rise. I also felt like the goal was a harsh reminder of what this squad is - a mediocre bunch with dashes of quality. Some players like Krafth and Murphy are already on the bus out of town, but outside of those signed in January I'm genuinely questioning everyone (Wood is gone imo). Saint-Maximin was again mediocre and running without any purpose. Joe Willock looked like he was on horse tranquilizers for large parts of the game. It's all well and good talking about being part of the 'process' and the 'journey' but I've got no time for fucking sentiment anymore.
Rod
We should never have lost this game. Joelinton was rubbish all night and at fault for the goal ( silly hospital pass to Max).
samptime29
Passed it well 1st half but we didn't create enough all game tbh. A draw was fair but we got nibbled. Painful.
Big Geordie
For those piling in on Wood - if we stay up this season, he's done the job he was brought in for. I'm disappointed tonight - we looked tired. But we've come a long way in the last couple of months - bit of perspective needed. 17 days until our next game, to recharge. wiseman
I think the unbeaten run made me forget how shit we still are as a squad and how much work Eddie still has in front of him.
Awaymag
Wood is make weight. Just get us to the end of the season and in this division and then please get 2 good strikers in. Wood and Gayle not good enough for PL and Wilson is to injury prone. Its clear to see that we are weak on the wings - major upgrades needed! Hate losing late and hate losing to the Scouse Makems, hope they go down but we aint that lucky!

We can’t keep possession so we’ll continue to be vulnerable to these kind of games. We've kept possession plenty recently. Tonight it seemed like we were too impatient in one way or another. Lenny
A bit of context needs to be had with this I suppose. It was a really frustrating result, particularly given how apparent the opportunity was there to get three points and the position we found ourselves in at the point they scored; but the players have been working and training out of their skin for the past couple of months and the pile up of games has clearly led to them running out of steam. I think it's been quite evident in the last few games and I've also no doubt the injuries are a result of the intensity with which Howe works as well. It can't be understated just how unsustainably incredible the run we've had has been this year. Hopefully we've done enough and got enough to see us through the remaining games successfully. Shadow Puppets
I think a lot of that second half can be attributed to three away games in a week, and several illnesses / injuries disrupting the squad. Not overly worried at all. Still think we’re 99% certain to stay up.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
We've played four games in a window that's five days smaller than the one until our next game. Hopefully those who aren't fully fit are able to recover and we're good to see the season out. Kid Icarus
They were still absolutely shocking mind. They'll do very well to get another win or stay up playing like that.
Yorkie
Dubravka - 6. Not much to do, maybe could do better on the goal. Krafth - 5. A poor player. Schar - 6. Alright at the back, sloppy on the ball. Burn - 6. It was an 8 until minute 99. Targett - 7. Our best player in the end. Bruno - 6. Started well but faded and became a bit wasteful. Joelinton - 5. Most of what he tried didn't come off. Willock - 4. Stinking. Almiron - 6. Mostly shit but an extra point for working our best chance. Fraser - 6. Ineffectual. Wood - 4. Shit. Pata
Everybody needs to calm down, it was just one of those days. No need to slag off anyone after today, our squad is still pretty poor and full of not good enough players but somehow these cunts went on a run that meant we were safe by the middle of the March. I feel like we are doing it despite having Wood on the field. His contributions as a striker is truly minimal. Yeah he wins headers but seldom anything come from them and as soon as he has a chance he fluffs it or for some reason stands outside the box when we get someone on the wing in a crossing position. Especially evident when ASM came in the box on the wing, Wood was no where near being in any position to get anything from him, fair enough wasnt anyone else on the run, but as a striker you would think they would want to move in to become somewhat playable. His movement leaves so much to be desired and honestly Evertons defensive play was awful, yet he could not capitalize on anything, is it Howe telling him to not move in to positions to get on goal, I doubt that. His reading of the game itself is not great. Fair enough he is used as a target man when he obviously isnt (new midfielder?) but that cannot excuse the terrible movement in the offensive part of the game. AJ9
We were shit today tbh. Seemed more interested in the scrap than playing football and got sucked into a horrible niggly game. We were really poor on the ball.
ElDiablo
Have to be philosophical about it. We still lack options to change the game when the team on the pitch is off colour, which will inevitably happen now and then. We were dying for a change upfront basically the whole game. That will hopefully change in the summer. Move on and let Everton enjoy their relegation battle.
