Any truth in this years forum accounts (funded by donations btw) showing the Admins took out 10 memberships with Sunderland hospitality earmarked for this years annual admin meeting?

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry you were unsuccessful in securing tickets for the Sunderland fixture.

This is an extremely high‑demand match, and as a result a very large number of supporters were on the website at the same time. For the members sale, everyone who was online was placed into a virtual queue at 10am, and tickets were then allocated in order as supporters reached the front of the queue. Unfortunately, due to the level of demand, tickets sold out very quickly before many supporters were able to access the sale.

The only place to purchase official tickets for matches at St. James’ Park is via book.newcastleunited.com and entry to the stadium is now only possible with a secure digital ticket. We urge supporters to avoid using third party ticketing platforms and unauthorised sellers. How are you addressing touting/bots?

We completely understand how disappointing this is, particularly for such a popular fixture, and we’re sorry for the frustration this may have caused. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Ignored all my questions about how many tickets were made available for general sale in comparison to other games/transparency etc etc

Did the stadium tour on Sunday for the first time and was surprised at how much the guide went on about PSR as pertains the stadium.

Claimed there are 30,000 members and 300 people on the waiting list for boxes.

He also said that expanding the Gallowgate would add 14,000, mind, so pinch of salt and all that.

Sickened for all of you that got shafted here, yet again, might be time for something with teeth as pertains to ticketing because it’s clear as day that NUST and NUSC have next to no sway.

Obviously that will be the standard response that goes out to everyone on this particular subject.

However, if they get enough heat about it, whilst you may not personally get anything in way of a decent response, it might prompt/force them into looking at the whole thing going forward.

Yeah cut and paste job. Ive gone back and asked for a response to my original questions :)

My response from Supporter Services was also that cut n paste job already posted to say the queue is random and demand was high.

And I'm like, nah, not good enough. I've replied again saying you need to explain to punters why there were no tickets left for queue positions in the mid to high hundreds when normally a queue position of 3000ish gets a decent chance.

Either you massively reduced the general sale allocation, or the first 700ish queue positions were able to hoover up several thousand tickets. Which one was it ?

They treat us like we're fucking mugs.

Pretty much how Ive responded and will keep responding until they answer.

 such a bullshit response and ridiculous they ignored your other questions. The game being in demand means nothing if it's not explained why normally good queue numbers were nowhere near getting tickets.

It's actually pretty fucking patronising gaslighting from the club. Palming people off by saying a game against Sunderland is in demand. No shit.

There was clearly something else going on this morning. Arseholes. This is why the resentment is building re ticketing.

Supporter Services have generally been a disgrace whenever I've needed any dealings with them, I usually end up feeling like I wish they'd just replied telling me directly to "Fuck off" as that's basically the undertone anyway

Same. I'm sure I'm not the only member who's spending upwards of £1500 every season on tickets, yet they treat us like we're of no value at all to them.

They'd happily sell every ticket to a tourist from outside of the region if they could.

We're just the daft cunts who pick up the ones where there isn't much demand. They miss the obvious point that said tourist count doesn't chant and get behind the team which is why there are ever-increasing sterile atmospheres at Premier League grounds that are now full of people with no skin in the game.

What about the season ticket holders? They are just simply incapable of outsinging the silent tourists?

Aye, there are still 35k plus regulars every game, they should be the ones carrying the atmosphere. The rest adding to it not being responsible for it.

Fuck off man you idiot 😂😂😂

Regardless of the club's willingness, or accidental, provision of tickets to....er...."tourists" it's season ticket holders that are to blame for any deficit in atmosphere.

Just been chatting to one of the lads in the changing room who has managed to get a ticket for the makems game in the ballot, through his son. He, like me, has had one ballot success this season. His son, who lives in Yorkshire has been successful SEVEN times and has not entered every ballot. 🤔

Was 795 in the queue and nowt available when I got in

Would be nice of the club to explain how it's possible for that to happen.

I was about 475 in the queue and didn’t get one.

They’ve either all been done by bots or there were selling fuck all today.

There's clearly been a massive fuck up somewhere along the line today. If people with a queue number below 500 couldn't get tickets it begs the question, how many actually went on sale and what happened to the rest?

Have you emailed NUFC to ask for an explanation ? The fuckers have got some explaining to do about why someone that low in the queue couldn’t get a ticket.

They were still emailing over the weekend to remind people of the 10am sale, which was a waste of fucking time if less than 400 people got sorted either due to a tiny allocation or bots having a field day.

I’ve heard via the NUST that someone has contacted them that was at 300 in the queue couldn’t get a ticket

The hospitality tickets available are in the Leazes level 4 block W.

This has always been a general admission section, has any of the supporters organisations questioned the club on this?

I’ve got no doubt bots will have took some tickets today but how many general admission tickets have been made corporate for this match?

Seems like a real money grab by the club in a big game at the expense of normal fans.
