24/25:

FA Cup: Morecambe at home but then Brighton away in 4th round

EFL Cup: Barrow at home but then Newcastle away in 4th round

23/24:

FA Cup: Preston at home then Villa at home in 4th round

EFL Cup: A nice run of home ties but plenty of PL opposition

22/23:

FA Cup: City away first game

EFL Cup: City away first game

Sounds like they need to pay more.

(there's no corruption)

They've had 22 all Premier League draws out of 45. We've had 22 all Premier League draws out of 30.

We are cursed though admittedly.

Everybody’s least favourite manager, Captain Black, being surprisingly complimentary of us, even if a bit back-handed.

It's playing the best football that you possibly can and the game demands to give you the best possibility to win the game and that's it. I realised what's happening in the Premier League the other day with a really important factor. I was watching the Champions League game between Newcastle and Barcelona. For me, Barcelona are the most exciting team in Europe in many moments the way they play, and they face one of the Premier League teams, Newcastle, who are exceptional in their intensity and the high pressure, everything man-to-man, a huge amount of tools, a really good team in transition and we saw a completely different game I've never seen Barcelona play and that's a huge credit to Newcastle, but this is the league that we are playing in. Have you seen the Barcelona 1,000 passes that does it every week in Spain? No. It was a very different kind of game. Can it be beautiful? Yes. But Newcastle made that game and so well done as well and a huge credit in the way they did it.

Just watched the 4-1 psg game, then all the afters... Interviews with trips, Howe etc... Mad how buzzing Richards was for us  Carragher's story about Longy almost made me like him!

It's all great craic and I love how much the atmosphere affected people.  You can feel how much it meant to us and it was good to see 'others' soak it up as well.

I like going down rabbit holes on wiki about where aging players have ended up.

My favourite today is spotting Mathieu Valbuena playing for Olympiacos B at the age of 41. He's been at a few clubs in Greece and Cyprus and fairly impressed he can still be bothered. Must be a coaching kind of role.

Wasn’t there some beef with him and Benzema once? Career nosedived after that

Had some sympathy for Thierno Barry’s friends getting chinned until I realised they celebrated the Arsenal goal.

What the fuck was he expecting

About time Everton fans found a new HATE figure in their squad.

The absolute glazing of this Max Dowman is infuriating, I’ve seen ex pros describe him & compare him to the likes of Messi & Kaka today. British press never learns.
