His ball control is something else, like

It is amazing to watch how he manages to dance around 2 or 3 opponents under pressure and come out with the ball. Think left back isn't the best place for him even though he's good at it.

Another MOTM Performance today. wonderful player.

He’s nailed on for Young Player of the season and for me is a serious contender for the senior prize too

He left Chelsea where he was getting game time for them to come to us because he’s a boyhood fan.

Give him a good enough contract and he’ll go nowhere.

He wasn't a regular and they were bringing players in to his positions.

He came to us because we were the best option, dont think he was a fan in the way Murphs was.

Don’t do it to yourself, he will be linked all over the place this summer

(Not saying he’s leaving anytime soon)

Can't speak for him myself, but know first hand his da is a massive toon fan & from the area, so you'd assume it's been passed down in the way all good geordie da's do.

Playing at left back receiving the ball while facing towards the opposition half with opposition players in front of him is arguably one of the big reasons why he is able to do it. Put him further up the pitch or in midfield where he'll have opposition players all around him and having to receive the ball quite often with his back to goal and he won't be able to do that nearly as effective as he does now.

I do wonder how many Newcastle-daft Gen Z-ers there are, at least compared to us Millennials who didn't have/barely had social media at age 9/10/11, and it was Sir Bobby, Shearer, Solano et al.

Can remember the first interviews with Hall about his Newcastle supporting-ness and it was slim pickings in terms of anecdotes, understandably.

He'll almost certainly start at the WC, and given he's one of the most eye-catching fullbacks who can actually defend, his price will sky rocket before next season. He's a fiend for making last ditch Inceptions/headers/off the line blocks etc too, I think he'll really stand out.

Scouts from Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have been closely monitoring 21-year-old England and Newcastle defender Lewis Hall. (Caughtoffside)
