I was thinking that - I actually thought him signing would help keep Isak happy. Edited July 24, 2025 by duo

Miercoles
They probably hate each other. Like when we signed Cisse and Demba Ba thought "aww fuck, I have to pray after scoring now"

They might have a lot of money and a lot of pulling power but they’ve proved again and again that they’re worse than us in the market and at developing the players they bring in. Casey
Wonder what this lad must be thinking now. Hell, wonder about the squad. Hope Eddie can galvanise the squad for a rough season.

Hope Eddie can galvanise the squad for a rough season. My prediction/knowledge… he, and the squad, will feel absolutely fine (apart from anger at Isak). Generally, the players don’t spend their lives doom scrolling Twitter / N-O and just crack on with their job.
Sibierski
They will feel fine, but they will also know the squad isn’t good enough to compete in UCL. It come up short last time round, and few players are a bit older and depth is no better. They will run through brick walls as always, and probably play through pain doing so because there’s no depth where if they stepped out for a game, a negative result will come. Which then just hampers us, as that negative result comes anyway from the player being below their level.

Rafalove
Thought he was good. He’s really fast, and worked hard off the ball. Can see why Eddie views him as his type of player.
Dr.Spaceman
Poor end product, think he fluffed each cross. However, he skinned his man with ease each time and he's going to win so many free kicks in dangerous positions. Once we've got a proper striker in and around the box I think we'll see him shine. Jimburst
Crossing poor, beating a man was exceptional. The lad in the first half was absolute toast. No one to aim for in the middle so going he just needs to gel with a striker to start putting good balls in.
LFEE
Murphy has had the more impressive pre-season. Means little of course. Our two options LW and RW are very diverse. If only you could combine them you’d have two amazing wingers
huss9
needs Murph to take him for a crossing session.
Conjo
Was comical how effortlessly he overtook Atleticos left back after knocking the ball past him. Clearly better with his left than right foot. The crosses after he got past his man were poor.
