Get yourself to ‘Le Vele di Scampia’ flats and see if you can track down Ciro (an Immortal fox in the box type) and Gennaro (big lad, good at the back post). Cheers 👍

I've just returned from a week in Rome and only saw 2 Premier League shirts. Enjoyed a pint with a Man City fan near the Trevi Fountain. Also saw a young lad in a Liverpool shirt, so I tripped him up.

Last season was a very good season for him but it's actually more of an anomaly than a regular occurrence. I don't know where this comes from but it's a myth. Since 22/23 Wissa has 38 goals from open play, only 5 fewer than Isak, who is genuine elite and gets mentioned with numbers like 150M. Wissa's goals were scored for a far weaker team than Isak and a similar goals per open play shot number as Isak. https://www.statmuse.com/fc/ask?q=most+goals+in+the+premier+league+since+22%2F23 People want Wissa (or Watkins who's older, costs more, and is a harder deal) because he is the closest thing to guaranteed goals. Guaranteed goals and a good fitness record from one striker lets you gamble on a development player for your other main striker.

Not just that, the reason his numbers aren’t as good before then is because he played wide as Toney was their main striker. The same as Mbuemo’s numbers not being as good until Toney’s ban/move
Geordie Magpie
Is the option of a further year in Wissa contract one that the club can extend or one the player can extend. Cos why haven't Brentford used the option to extend already?

Might even be better for them from a PSR perspective to leave it later.

Geordie_once_removed
I've been trying to give our transfer business the benefit of the doubt but Wissa seems to have been a total cock up. We clearly should have gone for Wissa early as we had money and we knew Wilson needed replacing. This would have had the added benefit for forcing up the price of Mbuemo for Scum United. Instead we seem to have not really had a clear idea of who we wanted to sign in the striker department.
MagPar
I see Wissa is back in training today. He's put his big boy pants on hooray. Take note Mr Isak with your Thomas Tank jim jams.
