• We elect not to squander our finances on higher-risk targets

[Review end]

I think lower variance targets is a mistake in our position, given our need for 95th+ percentile talent ID to overcome the other disadvantages.

This offer is mental imo

I've understood most of our other striker attempts this summer, They've been ambitious but ultimately unsuccessful, the cartel decides where top PL players go. This one feels borderline daft to me. Another PL striker needed by their club, far too much money, too late in the day, leaked with glee by agents and the cartel reporters immediately. Perhaps a ploy to move the Wissa deal along by applying pressure on Brentford but can't see that working either. Where are the targets from abroad? Surely there's a handful we're looking at instead of increasingly desperate bids in the PL?

You’ve forgotten “failure to move on”.

I think there's a valid point to be made about our process but it's absolutely a secondary cause. Everything is different if Chelsea can't sign Pedro.

Maybe some of your definitely not imaginary sources can give us an insight into just what has gone wrong this Summer?

Lets hope so!

We either somehow bring Isak back into the team, or it remains Gordon or Osula till at least January.

If this is our striking options next week I will be bitching about this to my nurses in 40 years I swear to fucking GOD.
