Do people think we are more likely to massively overpay for someone, or not sign a striker (assuming Isak stays)?

Possibly both in all honesty. I still can’t see us only getting 1 striker in and letting Isak go.

Overpay. Not getting a striker is self sabotaging. We have no choice.

What were they talking about that was positive, where everyone went on their holidays?

If they were talking would the question of how they want to make it happen not come up? You don’t walk into a car dealership and not ask what the price is.

This feels like when we lobbed a bid in for Elanga last summer, he was never going to be available at that point in the window. Looking at it from a Wolves and Brentford perspective, selling would be stupid.

Meanwhile Chelsea actually want to sell Jackson.

the fact its come to this and there needs to be a serious review of everything that has led to this, disgraceful

[Review start]

• We elect not to squander our finances on higher-risk targets

• PSR fucked our chances of signing our primary targets (Pedro, Ekitike)

• PSR fucked our chances of signing our secondary targets (Sesko)

• Isak's conduct put a massive dent in our bargaining position

• No one wants to sell their first choice striker with days left of the window (Wissa, Strand Larsen)

• The cartel owns the market

You’ve forgotten “failure to move on”.
