I was going to come on here before the goal and say I feel sorry for him as the 5 behind him haven't really offered much at all in the way of support

But fair play, class header. Definitely think the midfield needs to step up if it's going to end up in a winning effort though.

His hold up play is fantastic, albeit its normally coming 15-25 yards deeper than we need it. As long as we have other players bombing ahead in lieu it can work.

Love his no nonsense attitude and when he is up to Howe conditioning he is going to be like taller slower Gordon all over the place.

Doesn't score with his head though.

Really like the lad. But it‘s quite obvious that lacks fitness (can not really cope up with our pressing so far)

While true that he's still getting fit, I think the change in intensity for our press has been intentional.

The only games we've tried the full press has been Liverpool and Barca at home. Even then, we only did it for a short bit and didn't really revert to it.

good goal but needs to do some upper body stuff I think. Lost 8/8 duels so far, not that he's had much support.

The aimless knocks long to him are grating me. It’s clear he’s not that type of striker, yet we keep doing it. He obviously needs to improve that side as it’s an outlet needed at times, but we need to help things by not keep doing it.

Class header.

He did pretty well in general play, we just again didn't really have a setup to get people in & around or beyond him with any consistency.

Felt he came deeper less today than others to give an option to the defence but we probably needed it more than ever? We really struggled to get any moves going.
