Off course we wont be paying Bartons wage if he went to prison, when we bought him, we knew he had a chance of going to prison, and im 99,9999% sure Mort put in an option in his contract that stated if he goes to prison he wont get nothing.

Well you can't be paid when you're in prison, can you? Thems the rules of monopoly!

Barton pays Man City youngster £65,000

Published Date: 01 December 2009

Magpie midfielder Joey Barton will pay £65,000 in compensation to a former trainee who had a cigar stubbed out in his face.

Manchester City player Jamie Tandy made a civil claim for damages against Barton, who assaulted him at the club's Christmas party in 2004.

No police action was taken at the time, but Barton was hit with a £60,000 fine by his former club, and subsequently apologised for his actions.

Mr Tandy, 25, claimed he suffered "major pyschiatric deterioration" after the assault.

He had claimed £500,000.

Did Tandy have to pay anything to replace Barton's shirt which he set fire to?

That was the outstanding £435,000. It was a nice shirt.

The poll results are interesting at the top of the page.

Everyone was positive about the club when Barton came in, Allardyce was the man to turn us around and Barton was a real talent. We're a bunch of fucking idiots, basically.

Even if you took away the baggage & the knocks he is not that good, it is a shame he has missed most of this season as he could of been this creative/goalscoring force we thought we are getting. He is not even in Guthries league never mind Parker.
