It's blatantly obvious their 2034 World Cup bid was their main priority and set the whole football thing off for them. Then their own league is probably their second priority as it directly affects their key stakeholders. We are in the end "just" one of their many investments, albeit a high profile one even their top brass have taken a particular personal interest in. They are preparing massive investment in our infrastructure and it's entirely plausible that if it were not for rules put in place by the PL to hinder our progression they would have invested much more on the playing side already. I just don't understand this constant nagging every time they do something that does not align 100% with the insular NUFC interest. They have many more interests to serve than only their NE1 one. I can't believe that still needs explaining over three years into their ownership.

Definite change in attitude now the fixtures are out. For the last few weeks they've been bullish as fuck but seeing them absorb the list of fixtures they've got to play has definitely knocked them back. They're (technically) the poorest team in the division so every single game looks tough as fuck and reality has bitten hard today. Few of them moaning about their December fixtures as they, apparently, have to play loads of teams in the same division as they're now in and it's "a fucking joke". This is what they cheered and wanted in May and now they've actually got it they don't fucking like any part of it. They're going to get absolutely fucking battered

I think you guys really over think this London thing. You'll only ever here from the players that care about this sort of thing and not those that don't, so it skews your perception. Think you'd be surprised by how many of them aren't really trying to be out and about like that all the time.

The added bonus is that Chelsea’s training ground is in Cobham which, including itself, is close to other affluent areas such as Oxshott, Weybridge and Esher. These are all within 1hr drive of London. The big question is whether they will succeed at the club and win trophies. For over £100K a week on a long contract it is worth the risk - not everyone wants to become a legend and idolised by the club’s fans.
