andyman
Sad to see him go. Lovely bloke with talent. Best of luck to him
NUFC_Chris
Amazed Panathinaikos have the money for Abeid, even if it's 'only' a couple of million.
The College Dropout
Wijnaldum has got to play CM man. Very tempted to throw Tiote in when "up to pace" too. Good luck Mehdi.
Noodles
He'll be back to the Prem - too good for the Greek League - showed glimpses of a real player here.
Kanji
I'm going to convince myself that I just didn't see him play as MOTM worthy as he did those run of games b/c it's gutting to see a player who basically finally resemebled what we lacked in terms of physicality and presence at the center of our midfield in years... Good luck to him, this kid came back and bossed Yaya/City and Liverpool.

Good luck to him, this kid came back and bossed Yaya/City and Liverpool. The "manager" watched those two performances and thought nah, doesn't deserve any more games, soon after. How does that happen?!

Newcastle Fan
Its a shame we decided to sell him, he looked like such a player in his appearances last season.
Mr Logic
Dumps Abeid, plays Obertan. One might think his assesment of players is a little superficial.
AyeDubbleYoo
Dumps Abeid, plays Obertan. One might think his assesment of players is a little superficial. I sort of agree, but TBF they are completely different positions and requirements/competition.
CPL
Not too unhappy about the decision, we have many players who can play in his position already. Gives Anita a better chance of getting games who I think is the better player anyway. Hopefully we can get at least one LB or CB in before the window shuts, although he probably sees Haidara/Dummett fighting for LB.

Anderson
Not massively arsed, but still wish we'd seen some more of him after that brief spell last season. Just remembered the whole of N-O harassing him on fb when he first joined too.

Sima
Quite sad to see him go as he showed some promise last season. We seem to have a load of bang-average players jostling for 2 CM positions so I suppose getting rid of one of them isn't bad although he isn't the one I'd have chosen. Skeletor
Bad move. At least we still have our powderpuff midfielders though.
Hanshithispantz
Urgh, I'd have been massively suprised if he wasn't a better fit in centre mid than Anita and Colback. Not a chance McClaren even knows his ability either given that he's started the first 2 games here with Obertan ahead of Perez and Aarons.
thenige
Always looked a bit nervous when he played for us, understandably as he never got close to being first choice. Had a cracking run of a few games which made a lot of us think he's more than just an average midfielder. Thank at a club where he's treated like he belongs he's got a much better chance of being a bloody good footballer. Good luck to him.
Big Geordie
Best wishes to him. He never had a fair go under Pardew.
