We sold at the perfect time and maximised the value on a player, I think will only decline. For me Sissoko already peaked, even at just 27, his game is based on a youthful skillset of energy and exuberance rather than something that will get better as he matures. Although the decision making process should improve, his stamina and athletic ability will only decline.

You can understand Spuds paying the price for him, Everton's interest and firm bid obviously pushed them into action but he had just made headlines at the Euros, was desperate to get away from his current team and remember his last game for us was against them in a 5-1 win where he was probably the man of the match.

As much as we would like to think he's regretting his decision, he'll not be, he's laughing. Got a big pay cheque to move, he's not playing the likes of Rotherham and Burton Albion, like he would have had he stayed here. He's sitting on a long contract with the potential to be moved on again next summer, another signing bonus incoming.

There really is little need for him to do anything other than coast right now, at least with us he was playing for a move away, Spuds don't even have that to motivate him because he'll know in his heart of hearts he's not going to play for a more competitive team than the one he's with right now.

Poor man's Victor Moses?!

Very harsh on Victor who has been outstanding this season.

Conte has expressed surprise how poorly rated Moses was during his career so far. He has been at Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke and Wigan and not been able to secure a first team place before this season. Does make you wonder whether some coaches in the game just bury their heads in tactics and fashionable names of the day and aren't that good at assessing players themselves.

Thought he was a regular at Stoke? Injuries perhaps?

How did he end up at Stoke on loan in the first place? Underrated perhaps...which was the point in the first place.

Because quite frankly he went multiple seasons not playing very well, he's playing very well now in a role that suits him but that doesn't change that fact.

But that's what management's about. Conte hasn't got that many different players to what Mourinho had, but he's been able to utilise them better according to their attributes rather than trying to make them play football to which they aren't suited.

More fool him tbh. Ridiculous transfer. Paid massively over the odds for an average player with a terrible attitude, in a position they barely needed to strengthen, or perhaps rather, whose main attributes weren't really necessary for them to have.

On a Spurs forum there were a few posts about how this was a Levy signing and not a Pochettino one. No idea what that's based on, but if true it might explain the lack of conviction in Moussa's abilities as this is still relatively early for a manager to be writing his own signing off.

From the outside it does smack of a manager not happy with a player signed by the Board (and it may not have been against his wishes, i.e. Pochettino might have just trusted Levy and the scouts had done their homework and so didn't mind money being spent on a last minute backup target since it's better than nothing).

Doesn't Levy or the board usually make the decisions at Spurs?  Or did they scrap that model?

I know a lot of Spurs fans and to a man, they almost all seem to dislike Levy and his transfer dealings.
