Yorkie
Aye Roeder is decent would be a good candidate for a DOF post here. Based on what? He was an absolutely shite manager and the two transfer windows he oversaw were a total disaster, Martins aside.

Sima
He seems like a nice bloke but he had literally no charisma. He's about as boring as it gets Him and Milner at team meetings back in the day
Segun Oluwaniyi
Aye Roeder is decent would be a good candidate for a DOF post here. Based on what? He was an absolutely s**** manager and the two transfer windows he oversaw were a total disaster, Martins aside. He didn't really buy much anyone else at all, tbf. I have always liked Glen Roeder. I categorise him with Hughton as a very likable, but ultimately very average manager.

And the ones he did were all terrible, except Rossi, who he deemed not good enough. Le Sib was likeable enough I suppose. Duff. Bernard Onyewu Totally wrong sticking him in the same category as Hughton as well, like. Roeder was an absolute dud and he was stubborn as well. Guest firetotheworks
One thing that I will say in Roeder's defence. That 'injury crisis' that we had under him wasn't hype, it really was ridiculous. Almost everyone was out from what I remember.

Big Geordie
Roeder was let down by Shepherd when it came to transfers. He's a good bloke.
Wallace
I think Roeder is someone who does well as a short-term caretaker manager but gets a bit carried away with himself once appointed as manager. Considering the players he had at his disposal, he did remarkably well to get us into 7th place.

If that had happened now, we'd have to forfeit the game
Ronaldo
Roeder was let down by Shepherd when it came to transfers. He's a good bloke. Let down? The squad finished 7th and he afforded Roeder £17m to spend in the summer window. That would constitute some sort of miracle under Ashley.
Ally
Roeder did great Feb-May after Souness left, where the players were so relieved that twat had left they remembered how to play football. Shepherd should have just said thanks so much and been more ambitious rather than getting sucked into a nice guy / ex player bandwagon As soon as he got settled in he was incredibly average. Tooj
Remember when Roeder played Emre as a holding midfielder and Parker as our attacking one?

Yeap, I seem to remember us getting 4 points off Man Utd and Spurs with a back four of Huntington, Edgar, Taylor and Solano.
henke
a back four of Huntington, Edgar, Taylor and Solano. Jesus, did that actually happen? After the draw with Man United on new years day I suppose, fuck me that back four makes the current spanners look like 4 Maldinis.
Ronaldo
Remember when Roeder played Emre as a holding midfielder and Parker as our attacking one? I think he did that because of the success we'd had with Bowyer going forward and Emre sitting behind him when Parker was injured.

Significantly less than the past two seasons.
