When Sissoko actually pays attention to what he's doing, he's quite effective at defending - he had a few matches when he first joined where he was putting in a heavy defensive shift and literally all he did was body-up opposition players and get in front of them and used his strength to just muscle them off the ball.

Newcastle: from BBC

Newcastle have won just one of their last eight matches (D1, L7).

They have conceded 16 goals and scored only five times during this run.

Newcastle have conceded 55 league goals this season, the second worst record in the division behind Aston Villa (58).

They are five points worse off that at this stage of the 2008-09 season, when they were last relegated from the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez has won all three of his previous visits to Norwich as a Premier League manager.

Makes ↑↑↑ for amazing reading that lot.

Nice to know we've won 1, drawn 1 and lost 7 of our last 8...

Unless Benitez has a fucking magic wand, Sissoko shouldn't be starting at full back, ever.

Anita can do it but it's far from ideal. Organisation will have to be spot on.
