Twinport53
I believe Murphy was only signed because it got confirmed that Gouffran was not going to sign that contract. Wat We aren't signing Buffon until Krul leaves aswell.
John P
Didn't Rafa specifically say the other day that the budget and new arrivals weren't dependent upon shifting players first?
toontownman
Reason Costa and Matic haven't completed moves is due to riviere and colback not leaving yet. Rafa is said to be fewmin.
Mole_Toonfan
Didn't Rafa specifically say the other day that the budget and new arrivals weren't dependent upon shifting players first? Yeah but why that prevent wild theories based on nothing ?!
Benwell Lad
Wonder if Delph will end up being the biggy this window ? Pretty certain he'd be our highest paid player ever if it happened.
AyeDubbleYoo
Wonder if Delph will end up being the biggy this window ? Pretty certain he'd be our highest paid player ever if it happened. Not if he's signing for Stoke.
ponsaelius
So.. Colback - Jun 2019 Hanley - Jun 2021 Saivet - Jun 2021 Lazaar - Jun 2021 Murphy - Jun 2018 Krul - Jun 2018 Riviere - Jun 2020 Haidara - Jun 2018 So, if we can't sell them theirs a ton of dead wood earning millions, all using squad places. You've got Riviere wrong, he's up next summer. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/emmanuel-riviere/profil/spieler/61637
xLiaaamx
Delph would not be worth highest wages ever.

Mole_Toonfan
If we sign him i hope we sign another striker, as a replacement for Murphy in the squad it would be ok i suppose but as main CF signing? nah.
ponsaelius
He looks like pure shit on his Youtube videos like. Worse than Gouffran did.
steve_69
Rolan has turned down Fulham. His Youtube highlight reel isn't the most exciting watch. Seems a bit average

Rich
Seen a fair bit of Rolan going back a few years, really liked him at the beginning but he's lost his way since being asked to be the main man at Bordeaux after Diabate went. He always seems to be better when played in a two up front rather than leading the line alone, although we could still hold interest because he's a real Swiss army knife forward who can play to a similar standard out wide as well (on either side). Will work hard and make a lot of diagonal runs to join in, has a bit of pace and isn't the worst dribbler. Still, he would be uninspiring based on last season's form, but would plug a gap and effectively take up the Gouffran role. He retains a fair bit of upside, but doubt he'd be considered an automatic starter or serious competition for Gayle immediately.

Charlies
Andre Gray hasn't been mentioned in a while, didn't Dyche say they couldn't compete with us? Or something like that?

54
If we end up with Rolan as our main striker we are in trouble We won't, we have Gayle. Who is relatively still unproven at PL level Not really, he's a proven 1 in 3 PL goalscorer while never being the main striker.
Teasy
His goal record for a striker who is consistently played through the middle is a bit shit, mind. Well I mean 10 goals in 36 games last season looks ok. But better when you see it was 1765 minutes total (so basically just under 20 full matches).
