Various: N-O has lost the plot over potential end of Mike Ashley's tenure

Recommended Posts

Apparently Jim White was told last night it was almost done for what it’s worth.

After all this time, absolutely nothing is worth anything unless it is either

- Official confirmation that the deal is complete

- Official confirmation that the deal has failed

It's been "nearly done" according to "reputably sources" for about 6 weeks now.

Our boy Miguel Delaney saying the PL are waiting on WTOs verdict

He's hoping that's the case anyway

I don't really watch SSN but would actively go out of my way to avoid seeing it on deadline day.

The whole Harry Redknapp in his car bullshit, man, so cringe.

The Stoke fans with teeth like a crossword and the Norwich fans flopping a dildo around live on air was pretty funny though

Am I right in thinking:

1) they've already seem the evidence submitted to the WTO?

2) if either party appeals, there will be no verdict?

Yes to both

Think it's you who needs to chill out. I am only going off what was reported by the person who broke the story about the WTO report and what the ex WTO official for 15 years stated what would happen in the case of an appeal

Was that from a formal media report/interview or was it a Twitter thread ?

The first was from that sean ingles article and the second was a twitter thread (if you look back about 50ish pages ago) with a few replies from the former WTO official

This farce has now got the same "quietly fizzling out" feel as last year's fakeover. This time last year the big deadline was Rafa's contract expiration date and we all were pinning our hopes on a last minute announcement that the deal had gone through & Rafa was staying. Instead, what we got was the shell shock of no takeover, Ashley remaining & Rafa gone.

This year the big deadline is now awaiting the decision of some ludicrous WTO report & whether the buyers will pass the piracy examination. I can see us getting the exact same kind of shock this month with no takeover allowed & Ashley here for a very long time. Grim.

My only concern is if the Saudis get bored and move on to a different club.

Geopolotics would go against that theory, too much at stake

Our boy Miguel Delaney saying the PL are waiting on WTOs verdict

Does this WTO report carry any clout in terms of whether they can reject the takeover based on what is said in it?
