He will score some goals if he can stay fit but it all depends on the set up around him. He basically can’t run anymore so will need to just pitch up in the 20 yard area and slam in some quality finishes which he’ll still be capable of

1 shot on target last season in the PL suggests otherwise but I wish him the best for 36 out 38 games next season.

It surely can't happen but imagine he does a Chris Wood against us

Well maybe it wasn’t the same deal he was offered here?

Yeah, he could be on more £ down there I guess. But he was offered one year heavily incentivised here, and he’s signed the same down there.

Why would they be? [emoji38]

Aye but it’s nothing to do with him as a player. They aren’t happy because of comments he made about West Ham

I’m not sure if our offer was more out of respect for him if he was desperate to stay, rather than something we wanted him to sign.

I love him and he hope he smashes it at West Ham.

He came here when there wasn't much to shout about or look forward to and gave us a dash of joy and a bit of self-confidence. It was great to see a player come here and want the number 9 shirt and almost chase that responsibility and pressure to be the star striker. It saddens me he couldn't avoid the injury, but thems the breaks. I'm pleased he got to experience the Champions League and also leave with a winners medal given he was a vital reason the club stopped up and was able to be bought in the first place.

As the club's aspirations continue to grow I don't imagine I'll feel much of a bond with the super star players we sign, but Wilson was one of those 'in the trenches' types that I loved. Fingers crossed he starts the season with a goal or two.
