The point I was making earlier about London jobs,is these blokes have families wives kids who they take into consideration. They most probs would want the so called attractions of London.(too cold for them up here the wimps).

Exactly. People need to show a bit more optimism and have a bit of faith in the new owners, they’re no mugs like. A bit of patience and we will see good things happen to club.

I don't really care if we are relegated as long as we get the manager right. It would set us back a year, but in the grand scheme of things, it means nothing. Four or five years from now, it will not make much of a difference. As long as we have ambitions, and we have plenty of that now, I'll be happy.

This club is in a right state following Ashley’s tenure. The new owners will have so much to do and they are business people, not football experts. They’ve got football advisors but the decision making process is a pretty convoluted one given this is a consortium of 3 parties and not owned by one person. 
 

This is all going to take time and we’re gonna have to cut them some slack here. It would have been a mammoth task as it was if things had all gone to plan but they, like all of us, were massively caught on the hop here by the Premier League folding due to the legal pressure put on them and allowing the takeover through overnight after years of deadlock.

 

As well as deciding on a manager and possibly DoF they’ve got to have one eye on the January transfer window too. Then there’s staffing issues (the club was run by a skeleton crew throughout) and infrastructure and Lord knows what else.

 

This is gonna take time and yeah, it might be too late to save us this season who knows. We’re just going to have to ride this one out but let’s be clear, it’s Ashley (and on the football side,Bruce) who got us in this position, not the new owners. They’ve just got to pick up the broken pieces and I’m sure that’s what they are trying to do to the best of their abilities.

Caulkin again referencing how out of the blue and off guard the takeover caught the owners. He said they where ready for it to go through in the spring and even had bee staff in place house hunting up here ready to go. Just shows how unexpected the takeover was and might ease a few minds.

I also think it's absolute bollocks BTW. The reason players/managers edge towards London is because Arsenal, Spurs and even West Ham haven't been ambitionless voids for the last 15 years. Funny how Manchester is manageable.

 

Perhaps when we do lure a star like Wijnaldum, we match their ambitions on the pitch. Or perhaps when we do convince Modric to look around the training ground, it's not a dilapidated mess and we don't tell his agent he is too small to play in the PL.

 

It's those things that make us unattractive, it's nowt to do with the North East weather.
