Thought he was the MotM, was so creative playing in balls down our right side

Didn't even consider him tbh after some colossal performances from Bruno and Schar, but yeah he was up there.

Been said many times but his first touch is outstanding.

What a player.

There was a switch ball thumped over to him and he just took it in his stride. Messi would have fifty TikToks of it by now.

Trips first touch and passing are out of this world. He often takes switches first time and plays that pass inside and springs us forward our relieves danger and kills a press. He reads the game so bloody well. He stops that thru ball 2-3x a match by just reading the passer and the ball.

Schar is one of our best CB of all time. Trips is clearly our best fullback of all time and I’d honestly argue the both of them are the top 2 defenders we’ve ever had.

His performances haven't really dropped below an 8 or 9 the whole time he's been here.  Bar the odd tough start to games or an occasional tough half, he has been near flawless.

His touch is just automatic and I don't notice how good it is quite as often, now I'm used to it.  But there was one last night where I'm convinced plenty of decent players would have mis-controlled it or even let it under their foot out for a throw.  He just killed it on the half volley, in stride and with enough speed that he could just carry on pushing forward on the attack.
