Ikon
Just the thought of us refusing to sell Isak while also signing one of the best striker options out there in Ekitike Now that would be a statement (can only dream right). Hypothetically speaking I’d rather have Ekitike than Gyokeres or Sesko.
Elric
The only way we're signing this lad is if Isak is sold first, so... lock this fucking thread, pls
ponsaelius
It's never happening IMO as bigger clubs would pay whatever fee is out there but would be an insanely good signing. Reckon he could easily play with Isak and would mean we'd have a long term replacement if worst came to worst he went next summer.

Frankfurt are absolutely class at developing forward players for a big sell on like This lad, Marmoush, Jovic, Kolo Muani, Haller, Andre Silva all in the last few year. Literally none of them have lived up to their hype either really and some have completely fallen off altogether. Would be my only worry with a huge fee. junkhead
We were prepared to pay 30m for Delap and double that for Joao Pedro (on top of 55m Elanga), so I think there is money for an expensive forward if he matches the criteria. Doubt it'll be Ekitike though Edited July 9, 2025 by junkhead

Signing a proper striker from Germany is half a rung up from signing one from the Eredivisie to me unless they’ve done it in Europe.

Guest
Good player but can’t get that photo of him and that agent out of my mind. It was cuntish.. Now if he signs and gives an interview saying he made a massive mistake that may go some way to smoothing over but wouldn’t be surprised if he got a lukewarm reception first few times he comes on. toontownman
Could sweeten the deal with offering Targett. Should cover most of that £86m

Out of the “big” clubs that can afford a 60m plus fee it’s only really us and Liverpool that currently need a striker. I mean, Chelsea hardly need one too but that’s never stopped them in the past. Ekitike to Liverpool does make a lot of sense but I wouldn't be shocked to see this Romano "exclusive" is just the usual agents bollocks trying to get clubs bidding for him. Better to have a replacement already in, rather than be taken to the cleaners next summer.
